Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 2: Lawless added four named locations along the island’s west coast: Lonewolf Lair, Shiny Shafts, Outlaw Oasis, and Crime City. Fourteen locations from the previous season were reported as returning, while armored transports and an armored train added heist activity. This is a recap of the season’s launch-era map, not the current Fortnite island; Epic says Lawless ended May 2, 2025.
Where were the new Lawless locations?
The four additions ran down the west coast from north to south in this order:
- Lonewolf Lair
- Shiny Shafts
- Outlaw Oasis
- Crime City
The locations gave that stretch of the island distinct settings, from a guarded mansion and mining operation to a resort and a crime-themed urban district. The following descriptions reflect the launch-era map.
What was different about each new POI?
Lonewolf Lair
Lonewolf Lair was Fletcher Kane’s guarded mansion hideout, giving the new area a fortified, boss-hideout theme.

Crime City
Crime City was an urban criminal district. Its named landmarks included Hostile Hotel, Wise Guys Bookstore, and the Launder Mat, giving players several distinct places to explore within the POI.

What map activities came with the season?
Lawless added armored transport convoys carrying valuables around the island, as well as an armored heist encounter on the train. Epic Games said Thermite was required to open vaults: “The ONLY way to crack a vault is with Thermite, a powerful explosive found stashed away around the map.” The statement describes the season’s vault mechanic; it should not be read as guidance for the current map.

The POIs offered different settings rather than a documented ranking of loot or win potential. Crime City suited urban exploration and landmark-hopping; Outlaw Oasis offered a resort setting; Shiny Shafts had above- and below-ground mining areas; and Lonewolf Lair centered on a guarded mansion. Available reporting does not establish comparative loot quality, win rates, or a universally best landing spot.
