Fiend is a playable, ability-focused path in Devil Hunter on Roblox. Your Fiend type shapes your appearance and signature kit; Fear is the progression gate for unlocking abilities. Because community guides disagree on the current roster and game details can change with patches, treat type lists, rarity, thresholds and balance as provisional and confirm them in-game.
What playing as a Fiend means
A Fiend is a character path built around type-specific abilities rather than a crafted weapon loadout. A community wiki reports that Fiends cannot use crafted weapons and have a move limit of three base moves plus three Fiend-specific moves; those details are community-reported, not confirmed developer documentation. Choosing a type gives your character a distinct appearance and a signature set of moves. The practical choice is therefore about how you want to fight—at range, through mobility, with sustain, or by controlling an area—not simply which name has the highest rarity.
All playable Fiend types: what the sources establish
There is no dependable, unified roster in the available community guides. The Devil Hunter Roblox Wiki says eight types are rollable, while Devil-Hunter.com’s guide records a July 11, 2026 update adding Vulture and Future (Epic) and Curse (Rare). That same guide says Moon Fiend was teased, not confirmed playable. The wiki page’s stated last-updated date is June 28, 2026, so the two accounts are not directly aligned in time.

For the currently playable roster and any rarity odds, check character creation or the relevant in-game menus. Do not assume a teased type is playable, or that an older list remains complete. The dated community accounts are Devil-Hunter.com’s Fiend guide and the wiki Fiend overview.
How to level up Fear and unlock Fiend abilities
Fear is the progression gate for Fiend abilities. Community guides report missions and consuming Devil Flesh as routes to gain Fear. An independent guide also describes Devil Flesh as a way to build Fear. Exact thresholds and the most efficient route are not established consistently enough to treat older numbers or farming advice as current.

- Check your current Fear and ability requirements in the game’s character or ability interface. Use the live values shown there rather than an old guide’s thresholds.
- Complete missions as one reported way to earn Fear. The amount and relative efficiency may depend on current game tuning.
- Consume Devil Flesh where available to gain Fear, following the item’s current in-game description.
- Spend progression on the moves you want once you meet their displayed requirements. Confirm each move’s threshold in-game before planning around it.
An older wiki guide also mentions a Black Market and raids as part of Fear farming, but its January 13, 2026 update date makes its specific costs, drops, cooldowns and “best route” claims unsuitable as current instructions. It also reports talent acquisition through loot boxes or devil parts. Treat the NPC, available sources and talent routes as patch-sensitive; check current menus and quests. How to compare Fiend kits
Use the moves and their current descriptions to decide whether a type fits your playstyle. The broad comparison below is a decision framework, not a ranking: individual abilities, thresholds and balance can change, and the sources do not support a universal best Fiend.

Community type and ability descriptions can help identify these differences, but their rarity labels and performance assessments should not be read as objective balance data. Confirm the move descriptions and requirements in your current game version.
Can you reroll your Fiend type or get talents?
Community guides report that players can reroll a Fiend type and acquire talents through in-game reward routes. The available accounts do not establish a stable, current NPC quest, reroll source, slot limit or talent route. Check the live game’s quest and reward menus before spending resources or relying on a specific NPC location; those details can change between patches.

Does playing Fiend require a purchase?
The available guides do not establish a required physical purchase to choose or progress as a Fiend. The beginner quick-start describes Devil Hunter as a Roblox game and points readers to its Roblox game page. Its release-era details, including any codes it mentions, may be out of date, so check the game itself for current access and code status.
