In 2025, VOID Interactive announced six content changes connected to Ready or Not’s console release: five changes to mission depictions or objectives, plus disabling post-mortem dismemberment. The changes concern specific scenes and content—not a documented, complete list of differences across every current platform, region, or game build.
What changed in Ready or Not?
Insider Gaming’s July 9, 2025 account of VOID Interactive’s clarification lists these six changes. The “before” descriptions below reflect the report’s account of the earlier content; they are not based on an independent comparison of gameplay or screenshots.

Why did VOID Interactive say it made the changes?
According to Insider Gaming’s account, VOID said the game’s then-current console age ratings were ESRB M, PEGI 18, and USK 18, and that console platforms also have content requirements for games on their systems. VOID reportedly described its approach as responding to a broader mix of platform standards, age-rating boards, and local legal restrictions, and said it made changes where required.

That explanation is VOID’s stated rationale, not an independently verified rule-by-rule audit. The available reporting does not identify which specific platform rule required each individual edit. VOID also said that some of the edits would be visible on PC.

Do the changes differ by platform or version?
The 2025 report does not establish the current contents of every PC or console version, region, or patch. It says some changes would also be visible on PC, but does not provide a platform-by-platform or build-by-build comparison. That means the announced list should not be treated as a verified current-version matrix or proof that any particular current build is uncensored.
To check a specific copy, use information tied to its platform, region, and patch or build date. A general list of announced edits cannot establish the state of an individual installation.
