Roblox DIG’s current documented map includes 11 major regions, plus sub-locations such as the Combat Guild, Solstice Shrine, Tom’s Bakery, and Penguins Pizza. The fastest way to understand the world is to begin at Fox Town, explore Fernhill Forest and the surrounding first-island areas, then progress through Mount Cinder to Copper Mesa, Alona Jungle, and Mount Charcoal.
Roblox DIG’s current documented map includes Fox Town, Fernhill Forest, Cinder Shores, Verdant Vale, Rooftop Woodlands, Cinder Cavern, Cinder Approach, Mount Cinder, Copper Mesa, Alona Jungle, and Mount Charcoal. Several of those regions contain smaller points of interest—such as the Combat Guild, Tom’s Bakery, Penguins Pizza, and Solstice Shrine—that matter for shovel upgrades, quests, bosses, journals, or progression.
This guide covers the location set currently documented by the official Roblox listing for DIG and maintained community indexes. Because DIG is actively updated and no developer-maintained public map was found, treat “all” as all currently documented major and notable locations, not a permanent guarantee that no new area or temporary event location exists.
Quick list of every documented major DIG location
- Fox Town: starting area and main service hub.
- Fernhill Forest: introductory forest, first journal area, Combat Guild, and route to Cinder Cavern.
- Cinder Shores: coastal region with a merchant, shovel progression, and the King Crab encounter documented by community guides.
- Verdant Vale: farmland and pasture region centered on Silver’s Farm.
- Rooftop Woodlands: mushroom-and-large-tree area associated with the Spore Spade.
- Cinder Cavern: underground cave system with lower levels, enchantment progression, shrines, and shovel-related content.
- Cinder Approach: route and staging area at the foot of Mount Cinder, including Tom’s Bakery.
- Mount Cinder: snowy mountain region with an upper village and Penguins Pizza.
- Copper Mesa: desert-like second-island area and a late-game progression region.
- Alona Jungle: dense jungle located between Copper Mesa and Mount Charcoal.
- Mount Charcoal: volcanic region associated with fire-themed items and later shovel progression.

1. Fox Town
Fox Town is where a new player normally begins and the most useful central hub in DIG. It is associated with the main shops and services, including the bank, charm shop, garage, tutorial interactions, and early shovel purchases. If you are unsure where to go next, return to Fox Town, check your equipment and quests, and then follow the route toward Fernhill Forest.

Fox Town is also useful as a staging point: sell or organize finds, adjust your loadout, and make sure you have the shovel or charm needed for your next objective before traveling farther from the starting area.
2. Fernhill Forest
Fernhill Forest is the first major exploration region and the location associated with the first journal. It is the natural next destination after Fox Town and introduces the broader loop of traveling, digging, collecting items, and improving your loadout.
The forest is important beyond its surface area because it contains or leads to two major progression points:
- Combat Guild: located deeper in Fernhill Forest and connected with boss bounties and combat progression.
- Cinder Cavern entrance: the route into the underground cave system and its later progression.
Combat Guild
The Combat Guild is a Fernhill Forest sub-location rather than a separate world region. It is relevant if you are working toward the Slayer Shovel. The maintained shovel information documents a requirement of defeating six bosses. Since boss availability and requirements can change, check the current in-game bounty or guild instructions rather than relying only on an old checklist.

Fernhill Forest locations players can miss
Community map guides also identify O’Myers’ Secret Shop and a Lighthouse in or around Fernhill Forest. These are useful guide-reported points of interest, not locations confirmed by an official public map. O’Myers’ Secret Shop is associated with totems, while the Lighthouse is associated with a Hiker’s Bag charm and a Sydney quest. If either does not appear where an older guide indicates, check whether the live game has moved or changed the interaction.
3. Cinder Shores
Cinder Shores is the main coastal region in the documented first-island route. Its merchant provides important shovel progression:
- Bell Shovel
- Ruby Shovel
The maintained shovel guide lists these purchases without stated prerequisites, although prices, stock, or requirements can be revised by a game update. Cinder Shores is also associated by community map guides with the King Crab boss encounter.

Visit Cinder Shores when your current shovel is becoming a bottleneck or when a quest, boss bounty, or collection objective points you toward the coast. It is a progression stop, not merely a scenic beach.
4. Verdant Vale
Verdant Vale is the farming and pasture region. Its key landmark is Silver’s Farm, which is associated with farming quests and related equipment or interactions.
The area’s signature documented shovel is the Jam Shovel, sold by a local merchant. The maintained guide describes a temporary jam-related haste effect, making Verdant Vale worth visiting even if you are primarily interested in digging speed rather than farming quests. As with all shovel details, verify the current merchant dialogue and purchase conditions in the live client.
5. Rooftop Woodlands
Rooftop Woodlands is recognizable for its mushrooms and unusually large trees. Its signature progression item is the Spore Spade.
The maintained shovel documentation says the Spore Spade can spawn a Luck Totem while digging. That makes Rooftop Woodlands especially relevant to players optimizing treasure or item-finding rather than simply following the shortest route through the map.

6. Cinder Cavern
Cinder Cavern is an underground cave system connected to Fernhill Forest. It is one of the most progression-heavy locations in the first-island area because the cave contains more than ordinary digging spots.
Lower levels and elevator access
Community-maintained shovel information reports that an elevator provides access to lower levels after a nearby NPC is paid $1,000. The lower sections contain enchantment access and the Magnet Shovel. If the elevator is unavailable, check that you have spoken to the nearby NPC and that the current version still uses the documented payment requirement.

N key rollover, and supports WIN key lock to prevent accidental touches in intense games
Solstice Shrine
The Solstice Shrine is another important Cinder Cavern point of interest. It is associated with the Solstice Shovel, for which the maintained guide documents a Basilisk requirement. The shrine is also identified as a hidden or easy-to-miss area by community map coverage, so do not assume that simply entering the cavern means you have found every important room.
7. Cinder Approach and Tom’s Bakery
Cinder Approach is the staging area at the foot of Mount Cinder. It connects the lower regions to the snowy mountain route and contains Tom’s Bakery.
Tom’s Bakery is tied to the Shortcake Shovel. The maintained shovel guide documents five bakery quests before that shovel becomes available. If you are climbing toward Mount Cinder, complete the bakery quest chain when practical rather than assuming the shovel can be bought immediately.
8. Mount Cinder
Mount Cinder is the snowy, high-altitude region. The mountain includes an upper village where the Frigid Shovel is documented, plus the separate Penguins Pizza sub-location.
Prepare for a longer trip before leaving the lower areas. Check your shovel, charms, inventory, and transportation options, and use recognizable landmarks rather than relying on an old coordinate screenshot. A guide-reported route may become inaccurate when terrain, NPCs, or access paths are changed.
Penguins Pizza
Penguins Pizza is associated with repeated pizza quests and Pizza Roller progression. It should be treated as a distinct point of interest within the Mount Cinder area, not as a separate island or biome.

Copper Mesa is the desert-like second-island region and a substantial late-game progression area. Community map coverage associates it with Basilisk and Molten Monstrosity encounters.

- Aircraft-grade aluminum alloy frame – Manufactured for unbreakable durability and sturdiness

The documented shovel points of interest include:
- Salty’s Saloon: associated with the Archaic Shovel.
- Elsewhere in Copper Mesa: the Glinted Shovel is documented in the region, although exact placement and access should be checked in the live game.
Older guides may describe different ferry requirements, routes, or coordinates. Confirm the current ferry or other access route in-game before planning a trip, because the dossier does not establish a permanent access condition or exact coordinate set.
10. Alona Jungle
Alona Jungle is included in the newer item and shovel indexes even though some older “all locations” lists omit it. It is described as a dense jungle between Copper Mesa and Mount Charcoal.
Its inclusion is important for a current guide: if you are following an older map article, you may incorrectly assume Copper Mesa is the end of the documented world. The broad region is supported by maintained community indexes, but the exact inventory of jungle sub-locations should be rechecked in the live client because the databases are actively updated and can lag behind changes.
Do these 3 things before closing this tab:
1Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute2Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors3Fix the driver behind crashes, sound loss and screen glitches11. Mount Charcoal
Mount Charcoal is the volcanic region beyond Alona Jungle. It is associated with fire-themed items and additional shovel progression, making it one of the later destinations in the current documented world.
Exact Mount Charcoal sub-location names and item placements are less firmly established in the supplied research than the first-island hubs. Use the region name as a reliable high-level destination, but verify individual NPCs, shops, and purchase requirements after arriving.
Hidden, seasonal, and easy-to-miss locations
Dark Wizard Odd Tower
A current community map guide identifies the Dark Wizard Odd Tower as a time-specific hidden location that appears during Summer nights. Because this is a community-guide claim and event or seasonal rules can change, do not treat the timing as a permanent guarantee. If the tower is missing, check the current season, time of day, and update notes.
Solstice Shrine
The Solstice Shrine in Cinder Cavern is easy to overlook because it is not simply a major overworld region. It is connected with Solstice Shovel progression and a documented Basilisk requirement.

Other hidden points of interest
O’Myers’ Secret Shop and the Lighthouse in Fernhill Forest are also reported by community guides. Their associated totems, charm, and quest interactions may be useful, but they should be verified against the current game client rather than treated as permanently fixed official map data.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Recommended progression route
For a first run through the documented world, use this broad order:
- Start in Fox Town. Learn the basic systems, visit the services, and buy or equip the best beginner shovel available to you.
- Explore Fernhill Forest. Work on the first journal and locate the Combat Guild and Cinder Cavern entrance.
- Visit Cinder Shores. Check the merchant for the Bell Shovel and Ruby Shovel and handle any coastal quest or boss objective.
- Travel to Verdant Vale. Visit Silver’s Farm and investigate farming quests and the Jam Shovel.
- Search Rooftop Woodlands. Pick up the Spore Spade progression if its Luck Totem effect fits your build.
- Return to Cinder Cavern. Pay for the elevator if the current requirement is still $1,000, then investigate the lower levels, Magnet Shovel, enchantment access, and Solstice Shrine.
- Use Cinder Approach as your mountain staging point. Complete Tom’s five bakery quests if you want the Shortcake Shovel.
- Climb Mount Cinder. Check the upper village for the Frigid Shovel and visit Penguins Pizza for pizza quests and Pizza Roller progression.
- Move onward to Copper Mesa. Confirm the current ferry or access method, then check Salty’s Saloon and the region’s late-game encounters and shovel locations.
- Continue through Alona Jungle to Mount Charcoal. These newer documented regions extend the current progression beyond older location lists.
This is a progression-friendly route, not a mandatory sequence. DIG’s open-world structure allows you to revisit regions, follow quests in a different order, and return to earlier areas when you obtain a better shovel or new requirement.
Navigation tips for finding locations
- Use landmarks first. Towns, farms, caves, bakeries, pizza locations, and mountain villages are easier to recognize than exact coordinate values.
- Check the map’s coordinates. Community map coverage reports that DIG exposes X, Y, and Z coordinates through the map. Use those values only as a live-game aid; coordinate screenshots from older versions may no longer match.
- Use vehicles when traveling long distances. Vehicles can reduce the time spent crossing the world, but they are not required for every route.
- Keep Emergency Flares in mind. Community guides describe Emergency Flares as a way to return to Fox Town. Verify the item’s current behavior and availability in your client before depending on it during a long expedition.
- Ask NPCs for directions. NPC instructions and current quest markers are safer than copying an old coordinate without checking the version.
- Recheck access conditions. Ferry routes, elevator payments, seasonal areas, boss requirements, and shovel prices may change.
How locations connect to shovel progression
Locations in DIG are not just visual biomes. Many are tied to a purchase, quest chain, boss requirement, shrine, or special shovel effect.

Optional Roblox spending
You do not need Robux, a paid item, or a gift card to discover DIG’s locations. If you are buying Roblox credit for yourself or giving it to another player, a Roblox gift card can fund Roblox credits, Robux, or designated Roblox services under the applicable terms. It does not unlock DIG locations directly, and availability, redemption rules, and retailer options vary by region.
How complete is this list?
The major regions above are the strongest current documented set, but a genuinely permanent “all locations” list is not possible from the available evidence. The maintained item database says its list is still being worked on and may omit items, while older location guides have also been updated over time. Treat this article as a current map framework:
- Major regions are listed separately from sub-locations.
- Community-only claims are labeled as such.
- Seasonal or time-specific locations are not presented as permanently available.
- Exact coordinates are intentionally not treated as immutable because terrain and access can change.
Update note: DIG’s location, shovel, boss, and access data are live-game information. Before making a long trip, confirm the current map, NPC dialogue, ferry route, season, and quest requirements in Roblox. The maintained DIG location index, shovel guide, and item index are useful change-tracking references, but they are community-maintained rather than official developer documentation.

Cinder Cavern is connected to Fernhill Forest. Its lower levels are documented as accessible through an elevator after a $1,000 payment to a nearby NPC, although access conditions can change.
Where do I find Cinder Cavern?
The maintained item and shovel indexes extend the documented world beyond Copper Mesa to Alona Jungle and Mount Charcoal. Their exact sub-location inventories should be checked in the live game because community databases may lag updates.
What are the latest regions beyond Copper Mesa?
Not reliably. DIG is updated, community databases are still being expanded, and temporary or hidden areas may appear or change. Use this as the current documented major-location list and verify access, coordinates, and seasonal conditions in-game.
Is there a truly complete, permanent list of DIG locations?
The Bottom Line
Follow the broad route from Fox Town → Fernhill Forest → Cinder Shores/Verdant Vale/Rooftop Woodlands → Cinder Cavern → Cinder Approach → Mount Cinder → Copper Mesa → Alona Jungle → Mount Charcoal. For hidden or changing content, verify the live client: community guides report O’Myers’ Secret Shop, the Lighthouse, Solstice Shrine, and the seasonal Dark Wizard Odd Tower, but none should be assumed permanently fixed.
