To open the safe in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6’s The Rook safehouse, complete the basement puzzles, tune the radio, and use the four digits revealed beside the objects named in its broadcast. The five-digit keypad code and four-digit safe code are randomized for your playthrough, so derive each in-game rather than relying on a code from another player. The piano sequence and terminal’s four-word set are fixed.
Restore power and open the piano route
Set the basement generator
- Go to the boiler room in the basement and set the fuel valve until its gauge reads 50.
- Turn the boiler valve twice, until its gauge points to zero.
- Activate the pilot.
- Turn the boiler valve twice more, until the gauge reaches 100. The bell and green pilot light signal success.
The powered door becomes usable after you solve the piano puzzle and open the route beside it. Valve descriptions and physical orientations can differ between guides, so follow the controls’ in-game labels and gauges.
Play the piano sequence
- Pick up the Blacklight near the piano.
- Shine it on the wall to reveal the ordered notes.
- Use the markings above the piano keys to identify the matching keys, then play: Mn, Pe, Cn, Ao, Pe.
The markings may look like Cyrillic characters in some displays, but the sequence is the same. Completing it opens the door beside the piano.
Find the randomized five-digit keypad code
Go down the newly opened route and inspect the basement keypad with the Blacklight. Fingerprints indicate candidate digits, but they do not give you a universal code or necessarily reveal the order. Try candidate combinations and use the keypad’s color feedback to narrow them down:

- Green: the digit is in the correct position.
- Yellow: the digit is in the code but in a different position.
- Red: the digit is not in the code.
Use the feedback to eliminate possibilities and refine the order. Repeated digits may occur, so do not assume every digit is unique. A code shown for someone else’s playthrough may not work in yours.
Decode the terminal and get the key
Solve the computer cipher
The terminal’s four words are HOLDING, ROOM, BUNKER, and OPEN. Their order and the letter-to-number mapping can vary. Use the mapping displayed on your terminal to decode each word in the order shown.

Pick the lock
Continue through the opened route to the locked door. Move the pick until a pin responds or aligns, hold it in that position, then repeat for all three pins. Take the key from the room beyond.
Tune the radio and work out the safe code
- Use the key on the locked door across the basement corridor to enter the radio room.
- Adjust the radio’s frequency and amplitude until the displayed waveforms align.
- Listen to the repeating broadcast. Subtitles can help you catch the four object names and their spoken order.
- Use the Blacklight to find the digit associated with each named object in the room.
- Write the four digits in the order the broadcast names the objects. That sequence is your playthrough’s safe code.
Check the object and the nearby wall or floor for each digit; the clues’ exact locations can vary.
