All Silksong items are easiest to understand as an inventory system, not one flat collectible list. The game separates permanent equipment and upgrades from Rosaries, Shell Shards, quest deliverables, relics, Tools, and Crests. This guide lists the catalogued entries and explains what each category is for, what can be lost or consumed, and what changes Hornet’s build.
Catalog snapshot: August 12, 2026. Item values, locations, and availability may change in future updates.

All Silksong items do not serve the same purpose. Some permanently expand Hornet’s abilities, some are currencies or crafting materials, some are quest deliverables that should be kept until a Wish is complete, and others are Tools or Crests that change how Hornet fights and explores. Treating every entry as a generic collectible is the fastest way to misunderstand the inventory.
This checklist follows the broadest practical Silksong inventory classification: equipment, key items, upgrades, currencies, consumables, quest items, relics, tradeables, Tools, and Crests. It reflects the catalog state researched on August 12, 2026; the underlying item database was updated August 8, 2026. Values, locations, and vendor availability may change in later updates.

- You'll receive: goddess statue, tray, apples — and a randomly included hand-drawn ornamental sword (think of it as a delicate "collector's challenge" — it's beautiful but fragile, so handle like a treasure!). 【Elegant Fantasy Goddess Design】 Capturing the goddess's serene power with a warrior's blade — inspired by medieval fantasy, designed to be your collection's spotlight. A Note on the Sword: The sword is 3D-printed, hand-painted, and slender by design. It is randomly included in each shipment, so you may receive it or not. If it happens to break during shipping or handling, please don't worry — the goddess still stands proud as the centerpiece of your collection.
- 【Two Distinct Display Sizes】 Choose the size that best fits your space: Large Version: Goddess stands 5.9" (15 cm) tall with a 3.9" (10 cm) wingspan. Standard Version: Goddess stands 4.3" (11 cm) tall with a 3" (7.6 cm) wingspan. Both include a detailed ornamental sword, stable base, and a hand-painted apple.
- 【Meaningful & Uplifting】 More than just a collectible, these fantasy goddess figures are meant to inspire and bring a sense of calm and positivity to your space. They add a meaningful touch to any room, promoting a balanced and harmonious atmosphere.
- 【Versatile Decorative Accent】Perfect as fantasy-themed decor. Display it in your living room, game room, office, or special event—even as a unique underwater centerpiece in an aquarium. You can also place it outdoors to let nature take over—over time, moss will naturally grow on the cement surface, giving your statue an ancient, ruins-inspired look.
- 【Durable & Safe Material】Crafted from high-quality, non-toxic cement, the statue and its base are sturdy, eco-friendly, and fully waterproof—ideal for aquarium or outdoor use. The ornamental sword and apples are 3D-printed in resin and meticulously hand-painted for premium detail. Please note: the sword is delicate and may break if handled roughly; we recommend placing it gently and avoiding any force.

For the database’s individual descriptions, acquisition information, and map locations, use the Silksong Wiki item catalog and the Hollow Knight Wiki item classification. The lists below identify what each group is for; they do not invent coordinates where the supplied research does not specify them.
Equipment and permanent inventory items
These entries become part of Hornet’s basic inventory or unlock a persistent system. They are not disposable combat items.

The Map and Quill should be understood as related but distinct functions. The Map records Pharloom, while the Quill enables map updates; Map & Quill describes the combined functional inventory state. Likewise, the Tool Pouch and Crafting Kit relate to Tool capacity and crafting functionality rather than acting like ordinary consumables.
Key items and progression objects
Key items are best sorted by function instead of assumed to be equipable. Some open access, some advance a quest or system, and some relate to mapping, home decoration, or broader progression.
Regional maps and map entries
The catalog lists the following regional or map-related entries:
- Bellhart
- Bilewater
- Choral Chambers
- Cradle
- Cogwork Core

Some names overlap with the equipment list, including Everbloom, Hunter’s Cloak, and Quill. That is a classification overlap, not necessarily multiple copies of the same object. Check an item’s individual entry before selling, trading, or assuming that it can be equipped.
Health, Silk, and Crest-capacity upgrades
These are the most important permanent upgrade items in the inventory.
| Upgrade | Effect | Important restriction |
|---|---|---|
| Mask Shards | Increase Hornet’s health capacity when enough pieces are combined into a complete upgrade. | Individual shards are components rather than separate permanent health points. |
| Spool Fragments | Increase maximum Silk when enough fragments complete a spool. | Fragments must be combined into a full upgrade. |
| Memory Lockets | Permanently unlock additional Tool slots. | The expansion applies to the selected Crest; it does not automatically transfer to every Crest. |
| Silk Hearts | Automatically regenerate some Silk. | This is a persistent character upgrade, not a one-use Silk refill. |
Memory Lockets are especially important when planning a build. Unlocking capacity on one Crest does not mean that every other Crest receives the same additional slots.
Rosaries, Shell Shards, and consumable bundles
Do not conflate the two main resources. Rosaries function as merchant currency and, according to the researched catalog, are lost when Hornet dies. Shell Shards are used to craft and replenish Tools at benches and are not lost when Hornet is defeated. That makes Rosaries the riskier resource to carry while Shell Shards are the resource to budget for Tool use.

Rosary containers
The catalog lists these containers and their stated Rosary values:
| Item | Listed value | Use |
|---|---|---|
| Frayed Rosary String | 30 Rosaries | Currency bundle |
| Rosary String | 60 Rosaries | Currency bundle |
| Rosary Necklace | 120 Rosaries | Currency bundle |
| Heavy Rosary Necklace | 220 Rosaries | Currency bundle |
| Pale Rosary Necklace | 340 Rosaries | Currency bundle |
Shell Shard bundles and utility consumables
| Item | Listed value or effect | Practical note |
|---|---|---|
| Shard Bundle | 80 Shell Shards | Crafting and Tool-replenishment resource |
| Beast Shard | 140 Shell Shards | Crafting and Tool-replenishment resource |
| Pristine Core | 220 Shell Shards | Crafting and Tool-replenishment resource |
| Hornet Statuette | Breaks into 60 Shell Shards | Do not confuse this with a Rosary item. |
| Growstone | Can reform over time after being shattered | Its regeneration makes it different from a permanently exhausted bundle. |
| Silkeater | Helps retrieve a cocoon after death | A death-recovery utility item rather than a currency. |
The listed values are version-sensitive. Save or spend based on the current game version and your immediate crafting needs rather than assuming that every later patch will preserve them.

Quest items and Wish deliverables
Quest items are generally collected for Wishes, task-board requests, NPC deliveries, or progression events. They may disappear from the inventory after the relevant objective is completed. Unless an individual entry clearly confirms another use, do not sell, consume, trade, or discard one merely because it has no combat effect.

The presence of a familiar-looking name does not guarantee that an item is ordinary currency or a permanent collectible. Pearl Rosaries, for example, appear in the quest-item catalog even though ordinary Rosaries are the game’s merchant currency.
Relics and specialist tradeables
Relics are non-combat valuables. Their main purpose is to trade them to collectors for Rosaries or related services, rather than equip them as weapons or passive abilities.
Relics
- Arcane Egg
- Bone Scroll
- Choral Commandment
- Psalm Cylinder
- Rune Harp
- Sacred Cylinder
- Weaver Effigy
Tradeable and specialist materials
- Craftmetal — used by craftsbugs in the construction of Tools and trinkets.
- Pale Oil — used by pinmasters to improve a blade.
Because relics and specialist materials can have a trade or upgrade purpose without being combat equipment, it is safer to identify the intended collector or specialist before converting them into currency.
Tools: the complete list by color
Tools are not Charms. They fill a different system: a Tool is equipped through a Crest, and many active Tools have limited charges that are crafted or replenished at benches with Shell Shards. Tool slots are color-coded according to the equipped Crest. The Silksong Tool database groups them as Red active/offensive Tools, Blue passive/defensive Tools, and Yellow passive/utility Tools.
A Tool can therefore be a weapon, trap, mechanism, passive buff, defensive aid, movement option, or exploration utility. Its color and slot requirements matter when planning a loadout.

The practical distinction is straightforward: a Mask Shard permanently improves Hornet, while a Tool occupies Crest capacity and may need Shell Shards to remain available. A Compass, Shell Satchel, or Silkspeed Anklets may be more valuable for exploration than a purely offensive option, but each still competes for the slots allowed by the chosen Crest.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Crests and how Memory Lockets interact with them
Crests are equipment platforms that also change Hornet’s core moveset. They determine the type and number of Tool slots available and can alter standard attacks, dash attacks, movement, or combat behavior. The Crest catalog identifies seven Crests:
| Crest | Role and behavior |
|---|---|
| Hunter | The balanced starting Crest. |
| Reaper | An offensive Crest that reaps extra Silk. |
| Wanderer | Agile and oriented toward exploration. |
| Beast | Highly aggressive and capable of life-stealing behavior. |
| Witch | Mid-range and life-leeching. |
| Architect | Hyper-offensive and able to craft Tools in combat. |
| Shaman | Focused on Silk Skills. |
Some Crest pages include locations, while others still identify the location as unknown in the current catalog. Those unknown entries should remain unknown until a reliable update supplies the information; do not fill them with guesses from previews, file names, or cut-content lists.
Memory Lockets are Crest-specific. When a Locket expands the Tool capacity of a selected Crest, the additional capacity applies to that Crest and does not automatically become available on all other Crests.

1Clear out junk files and repair common Windows errors2Scan for outdated or missing drivers - takes under a minute3Repair Windows errors before they cause bigger problemsPermanent, consumable, tradable, or quest-tied?
Use this quick decision test before doing anything with an unfamiliar object:
- Does it improve a stat or unlock a persistent system? It is probably a permanent upgrade or equipment item. Keep it.
- Does it have a Rosary or Shell Shard value? Check which economy it belongs to. Rosaries are for merchants and carry a death risk; Shell Shards support crafting and Tool replenishment and survive defeat.
- Is it listed as a Wish, delivery, or task objective? Keep it until the associated request is complete. Quest objects may leave the inventory afterward.
- Is it a relic or specialist material? Look for the intended collector, craftsbug, or pinmaster before trading it.
- Does it occupy a Crest slot or have charges? It is a Tool, not a conventional inventory collectible.
- Does it alter Hornet’s attacks, movement, or Tool layout? It is probably a Crest and should be evaluated as a build platform.
Version, location, and cut-content warnings
There is no single independently verified total-item number in the supplied sources, so this guide does not claim one. The catalog establishes the categories and entries above, but a definitive count could change if variants, combined states, or duplicate classifications are counted differently.

Item values, acquisition details, map locations, and vendor availability are version-sensitive. For a location-specific search, open the individual entry in the current item catalog rather than relying on an undated checklist.
Finally, do not mix finished-game inventory with cut content. The cut-content item reference explicitly warns that file or preview entries may not be available in the finished game. A name appearing in an old preview, data file, or cut-content page is not proof that the object can be obtained in a normal playthrough.
Frequently Asked Questions
What counts as an item in Silksong?
Silksong’s inventory is divided into equipment, key items, upgrades, currencies, quest deliverables, relics, tradeables, Tools, and Crests. Tools and Crests are part of the loadout system but should not be treated as ordinary inventory objects.
Do you lose Rosaries or Shell Shards on death?
According to the researched item catalog, Rosaries are lost when Hornet dies. Shell Shards are used for crafting and replenishing Tools at benches and are not lost when Hornet is defeated.
Are Silksong Tools the same as Charms?
No. Tools replace the function of a Charm-style loadout, but Silksong uses a separate Tool-and-Crest system. Tools can have charges and are replenished with Shell Shards at benches.
Do Memory Lockets work for every Crest?
No. A Memory Locket expands Tool capacity for the particular Crest selected for the upgrade. The extra slots do not automatically transfer to every Crest.
Should you sell or discard Silksong quest items?
Usually, yes. Quest items are tied to Wishes, NPC deliveries, task-board requests, or progression events, and some leave the inventory after the objective is complete. Check the associated request before selling, consuming, trading, or discarding one.
The Bottom Line
The safest way to manage the Silksong inventory is to separate permanent upgrades, currencies, quest deliverables, relics, Tools, and Crests. Keep quest objects until their Wishes are finished, protect Rosaries because death can cost them, spend Shell Shards at benches to maintain Tools, and remember that Memory Locket capacity belongs to the Crest you upgrade.
