For the 16 rares in Clean Up on Isle Siren, start in Siren Isle’s non-storm phase, then check the active weekly invasion before following the coordinates below. The invasion determines which faction-specific rares can appear; three more are tied to Major Excavation events. Treat map pins as starting points, since cave entrances and patrol routes can put a rare away from its listed coordinate.

Check the phase and invasion first

The 16 creatures in Clean Up on Isle Siren belong to the non-storm rare roster. Siren Isle’s ordinary phase rotates its invading group weekly among Naga, Vrykul, and pirates, and certain rares are available only with their corresponding invasion. Most other rares and the excavation events are not part of that weekly faction rotation. Blizzard describes the island’s weekly adversary rotation and storm phase in its Siren Isle overview; the specific rare roster and conditions are listed by Method.

A separate set of five rares appears in the storm phase: Slaughtershell, Bringbough, Tempest Talon, Zek’ul the Shipbreaker, and Kvsir the Forgotten. Method says these do not count toward Clean Up on Isle Siren. If you are working on that achievement, use the non-storm phase rather than searching for these storm-only creatures.

All 16 achievement rares: locations and conditions

Coordinates are map-coordinate shorthand from the Warcraft Tavern rare guide. They are useful pins, not guaranteed exact spawn points. Sources differ on some details, including Bloodbrine’s grouping, so verify that rare against the current phase and live map.

Rare Coordinates Condition or location cue
Nerathor 33,65 Major Excavation at The Drowned Lair
Stalagnarok 44,56 Major Excavation at Shuddering Hollow
Gravesludge 62,75 Major Excavation at The Drain
Ikir the Flotsurge 32,74 Vrykul invasion
Asbjorn the Bloodsoaked 64,87 Vrykul invasion
Siris the Sea Scorpion 56,84 Naga invasion
Coralweaver Calliso 62,89 Naga invasion
Chef Chum Platter 66,85 Pirate invasion
Plank-Master Bluebelly 60,89 Pirate invasion; patrols northwest
Shardsong 44,23 Inside the Forgotten Vault; enter through the Singing Tablet in The Sacred Hollow
Grimgull 34,15 Patrols offshore in a circle
Snacker 67,19 Patrols in the water northeast offshore
Bloodbrine 32,73 Guide-listed as a random rare; its availability grouping is not consistent across guides
Ghostmaker 53,34 No additional access cue provided by the coordinate guide
Gunnlod the Sea-Drinker 44,23 Inside the Forgotten Vault; enter through the Singing Tablet in The Sacred Hollow
Wreckwater 46,78 No additional access cue provided by the coordinate guide

Shardsong and Gunnlod share the same outdoor map marker but are inside the Forgotten Vault, so go through the Singing Tablet in The Sacred Hollow rather than waiting at the pin. Grimgull, Snacker, and Plank-Master Bluebelly patrol; follow the relevant shore or water route instead of expecting each creature to stand on its coordinate. The coordinate guide reports 10–15 minute respawns for most of these rares, but that is a guide-reported estimate, not a guaranteed current timer.

Which rares appear with each invasion?

Use the active faction to narrow the search. The invasion-specific pairings below are listed by Method; the three excavation rares and several ordinary rares are available regardless of invasion. Bloodbrine is left out of the faction groups because guides do not agree on its availability.

How Major Excavations work

Nerathor, Stalagnarok, and Gravesludge are associated with Major Excavation public events, not ordinary outdoor rare searches. Blizzard confirms three excavation sites and the use of Flame-Blessed Iron to open them in its Siren Isle overview. For more detailed contribution and event mechanics, see Wowhead’s Siren Isle guide.

  1. Check the Command Map on Siren Isle for the Major Excavation event and its site.
  2. Contribute Flame-Blessed Iron to open the excavation, following the on-screen event requirements.
  3. Go to the associated site: The Drowned Lair for Nerathor, Shuddering Hollow for Stalagnarok, or The Drain for Gravesludge.
  4. Search during the event; these rares are tied to excavation availability rather than being simple, always-accessible map-pin targets.

A practical route and missing-rare checks

There is no single route that guarantees every rare: faction availability changes weekly, excavations are event-based, and some targets move. A low-backtracking approach is to check the invasion, pursue its two faction rares, and then cover the remaining areas and event sites that are available.

  • Discover a Lost Continent - Explore the ancient kingdoms of Pandaria and mount your defense against a newly awakened evil stirring in the continent's dark corners.
  1. Confirm you are in the non-storm phase and identify the active invasion.
  2. Visit the two faction-appropriate coordinates in the table, allowing for patrol movement.
  3. Check the Command Map and visit an open Major Excavation for its associated rare.
  4. For Shardsong or Gunnlod, enter the Forgotten Vault at the Singing Tablet in The Sacred Hollow.
  5. For offshore patrols, search along the water and follow the patrol area rather than waiting at one point.
  6. Use the remaining listed coordinates as pins, then check nearby terrain if the creature is not at the exact marker.

If a target is missing, check these causes before assuming the coordinate is wrong:

  • The active invasion does not match the rare’s faction requirement.
  • The Major Excavation event is not currently available.
  • You are at the outdoor Forgotten Vault marker instead of inside the vault.
  • The rare is moving along an offshore or northwest patrol.
  • You are in the storm phase while looking for an achievement rare from the non-storm roster.
  • For Bloodbrine, the guide’s availability grouping may not match the current live phase.

Manual coordinates or a map addon?

Coordinates are enough if you are comfortable checking the map and finding entrances or patrol routes yourself. If you prefer pins on the map, the digital addon HandyNotes: The War Within lists Siren Isle rare locations. An addon is optional; confirm it supports your installed game version.
