A unit can develop only one path; placing a node locks the other two for that unit’s progression line. Before committing, compare the unit’s role with the live node effects, matching-orb requirements, duplicate costs, and currently available reset items. There is no established universal best path.
Who can use Hidden Potential, and where is it?
The community-maintained Hidden Potential reference says eligible units are 5-Star and Unbound units. It describes two access routes: speak to the Guru in the Grand Elder Building, or open the unit display menu. Eligibility and menu labels can change, so check the current game for the unit you intend to develop.
The same reference says skill orbs must match the unit’s element. Confirm the required orb type on the unit’s tree before spending or farming resources.
What does choosing a path commit you to?
The three paths described by the community wiki are Power, Range, and Speed. Once you place a node in one path, the other two are locked for that unit’s progression line. An unofficial skill-tree guide uses Damage for the damage-focused branch and Speed/SPA for the speed branch; rely on the labels and effects shown in your current game rather than assuming terminology is consistent across guides.

The Fandom reference describes four skill slots per path: one slot does not require a duplicate, while three are locked behind duplicate nodes. Requirements may differ by unit or change with updates, so inspect the specific tree before deciding how many copies to reserve.
Which path should you choose?
Treat role-based recommendations as a starting point, not a ranking. A 2026 fan guide offers role-oriented advice, but there is no established current, official unit-by-unit build list that makes one path optimal for every character. Compare the unit’s job and scaling against the actual node effects and costs in-game.

The 2026 fan guide’s advice is role-based rather than a universal build prescription. For any path, weigh the unit’s role and base scaling, the exact benefits and drawbacks shown, the matching orbs and duplicate copies required, and the reset options currently available.
How many resources might a path take?
Costs are consequential, and the community wiki’s figures should not be treated as a guarantee of today’s requirements. For example, the Fandom Hidden Potential page lists 128 Skill Orb I and 59 Skill Orb II for the Power tree, and describes a completed Power path as +15% damage, +5% range, and -5% speed. Those are that page’s reported values, not independently confirmed current-game totals. Check the live tree before planning around them.

The same page gives examples of Power nodes: Critical is listed as a 10% chance for attacks to deal 2x damage; Marker as a 10% chance to mark enemies so they take 30% more damage for 5 seconds; and Element Boost as 10% more damage against enemies the unit’s element is strong against. These are examples from the community reference, not effects to assume for every unit. Read each node’s current in-game description.
Where can you get skill orbs?
The Fandom Challenges page identifies Challenge Mode as a source of skill orbs and lists Skill Orb I (Pure) and Skill Orb II (Pure) among Expert rewards. Challenge rotations and reward tables can change; consult the current in-game challenge panel to see what is available now.

A broad 2026 progression guide recommends keeping duplicates and concentrating investment on a core carry instead of spreading skill-tree resources thinly across many units. This is general fan advice, not a measured comparison of strategies. Its beginner progression guide can be read as a resource-planning perspective, but your priority should depend on your roster and the units you use.

The Hidden Potential community reference lists Roka Fruit as resetting everything except special nodes, and Doma Fruit as resetting only special nodes. Because using a reset item can affect a costly investment, check the item description and the current tree in-game before using either fruit; do not assume an older guide’s reset behavior still applies.
