There are 42 Shine Sprites in the Nintendo Switch remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. This checklist groups every pickup by chapter and area, including the five between-chapter sprites and locations that require backtracking. Give Shine Sprites to Merlon in Rogueport to power up your partners.
How to use this checklist
Locations below follow the Switch remake. Some pickups require abilities or partners Mario gains later, so revisit earlier areas when you unlock new ways to move. Chapter totals include the separately grouped pickups between Chapters 5 and 6 and between Chapters 6 and 7.
For partner upgrades, bring collected Shine Sprites to Merlon in Rogueport; Nintendo also describes this use in its Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door tips and tricks.
