It is a useful roster, but not a confirmed list of every enemy or variant currently in the live game.
All Terminids named on PlayStation’s overview
The descriptions below summarize how PlayStation characterizes each type. They are broad identification cues, not a complete set of combat statistics or advice guaranteed to apply across every difficulty and game patch. PlayStation’s official Helldivers 2 overview presents Terminids as one of the game’s enemy factions.

- Scavenger: A small, low-level bug that screams when it spots a Helldiver, drawing nearby Terminids toward the encounter.
- Warrior: An aggressive, standard enemy that PlayStation describes as expansion-minded.
- Hunter: A quick-moving Terminid that uses leaps to evade incoming fire.
- Stalker: A hard-to-see enemy that uses camouflage.
- Bile Spewer: A Terminid with a body full of corrosive acid, which it vomits at opponents.
- Bile Titan: Described by PlayStation as the largest known Terminid strain and a major threat.
- Charger: A heavily armored bug that rushes its target; PlayStation’s overview advises moving laterally.
- Brood Commander: A leader-type Terminid that directs others with shrieks and pheromone-like spores.
- Dragonroach: A flying enemy that circles prey, swoops down, and sprays air-combustible acid.
- Rupture Charger: A fast burrower that tunnels underground before emerging to attack.
- Rupture Warrior: A Gloom-induced mutation described as favoring burrowing.
- Rupture Spewer: A Terminid that emerges from the ground and spews corrosive material.
How to tell the types apart
The overview’s most useful distinctions are observable behaviors rather than numerical stats:
- Listen for an alarm: Scavengers scream when they encounter a Helldiver, potentially bringing more bugs into the fight.
- Watch movement: Hunters leap, Chargers rush, Dragonroaches fly, and the Rupture Charger burrows before attacking.
- Look for concealment: Stalkers use camouflage, while Rupture enemies are associated with burrowing.
- Recognize ranged acid pressure: Bile Spewers and Rupture Spewers attack with corrosive material; the Dragonroach sprays acid from the air.
- Notice group roles: The Scavenger’s scream attracts nearby bugs, while the Brood Commander directs other Terminids.
PlayStation’s descriptions do not establish current health, armor ratings, damage, weak points, or variant availability. Those details can change with patches and should be checked against current in-game information or patch-specific sources rather than inferred from these short descriptions.

Which Terminids were added with Into the Unjust?
In an article published September 2, 2025, Xbox Wire’s Katherine Baskin, identified as a Community Manager at Arrowhead Game Studios, described the Into the Unjust update as bringing new Terminid enemies. The article names the Dragonroach, Rupture Spewer, and Rupture Warrior. This identifies them with that update; it does not establish which enemies are newest today. Read the Xbox Wire Into the Unjust update article.
The same article describes the update’s Hive Worlds as randomly generated giant cave systems, with features including acid lakes, bug spires, destructible walls, and openings in cave roofs through which players can call stratagems. These are details associated with the Into the Unjust update, not a general description of every Terminid mission.

Is this every Terminid in the game?
Not necessarily. PlayStation’s overview names 12 types, but does not say that its list covers every live-game enemy or variant. An independent fan-made enemy index counts 13 Terminid enemy entries, illustrating that lists can differ in scope; that count is not proof of the complete current roster. The independent Enemies Codex is useful as an index, not an official roster authority.
For a complete, current roster or exact combat values, consult the game’s current enemy index and relevant official update or patch notes. The official overview is best treated as a named set of enemy types with concise, general descriptions—not a live-verified encyclopedia.
