The likely match for this headline is the second half of August 2025. Secondary coverage named eight games for that period, but the available evidence does not verify the complete lineup, arrival dates, platforms, or eligible Game Pass tiers against an Xbox announcement. Treat the names below as a reported list, not a confirmed schedule.
Reported Game Pass additions for late August 2025
A secondary roundup identified these eight titles as additions in the second half of August 2025:
- Blacksmith Master (Game Preview)
- Void/Breaker
- Heretic + Hexen
- Goat Simulator Remastered
- Persona 4 Golden
- Herdling
- Gears of War: Reloaded
- Dragon Age: The Veilguard
The roundup is the basis for this list, but it does not establish that these are all the games in the period. Its reported dates and platform labels are not sufficiently verified here to publish as a complete schedule. Secondary coverage of the reported lineup
What is not confirmed
The year is likely 2025: an exact-title search result points to an article dated August 19, 2025. That identification comes from search-result and secondary-reporting evidence, not a retrieved Xbox Wire announcement. Search-result reference identifying the likely year

For each game, readers would need an official listing to confirm its arrival date, availability on cloud, console, or PC, and the Game Pass tier required. Those details—and the lineup’s completeness—are not verified against Xbox’s original announcement in the available evidence. A separate result concerning August 2026 refers to a different year and is not part of this likely 2025 lineup.
