Which Disney Fortnite skins are officially upcoming?
Disney’s August 10, 2024 D23 announcement named three broad sources of future Fortnite characters and skins. It did not identify individual outfits or say when they would arrive. Because the statement is more than two years old, it is best read as a franchise-level plan—not as a current release schedule.

Fortnite collaborations can take the form of Shop cosmetics, creator-made islands, timed events, or rewards with special eligibility. A Disney property appearing in Fortnite does not by itself confirm a player outfit.

Kingdom Hearts: outfits already arrived
In its September 17, 2026 announcement, Fortnite said Sora, Riku, Kairi, and Roxas outfits had arrived in the Shop. The outfits include a Back Bling, Pickaxe, and LEGO Fortnite style; the post also mentions Shadow Steppers Kicks. These are confirmed cosmetics, but the announcement describes them as already available—not as upcoming skins.
Toy Story: a creator-island event, not announced outfits
D23 described Toy Story 5: The Great Toy Rescue as a two-week activation running September 22 through October 5, 2026, across participating creator-made islands. Players could search for six missing toys and earn Toy Story-themed rewards. The event window had ended by October 7, 2026, and the announcement was about an island adventure—not Toy Story player outfits.

Smugglers Gambit: an outfit reward tied to eligible park visits
Epic’s August 15, 2026 announcement connected the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run attraction at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort with the Smugglers Gambit island. Eligible riders who link MyDisney and Epic accounts can receive the Forsworn Trooper outfit; Fortnite players can also earn a loading screen by completing an island quest. This is a conditional, park-linked reward, not an announced general Shop release or a future skin roster. Epic’s announcement does not say the outfit will be sold in the Shop.

Disney announced The Simpsons assets for Fortnite developers, including characters, locations, and other material for creator-made games through the UEFN/IP Partner Program. That is a toolkit announcement, not confirmation of a new list of Simpsons outfits.

Does Disney’s Fortnite universe announcement confirm more skins?
No specific outfit schedule follows from the broader partnership. Epic’s February 7, 2024 announcement described plans for an open, persistent, social Disney universe connected to Fortnite, but did not provide a skin roster or rollout dates. Likewise, later Star Wars islands and experiences do not establish when—or whether—a particular character will become a general Fortnite outfit.

- Look for an explicit outfit announcement. A named character or franchise in an island, toolkit, event, or partnership is not enough to confirm a skin.
- Check the status and date. “Arrived in the Shop” means released; an event reward or creator-island activity is a different category from a future Shop outfit.
- Check eligibility and availability. A reward tied to a park visit or account link is not automatically available to every player or sold in the Shop.
