This table follows the 15 entries and mission names in PC Gamer’s base-campaign guide, published May 15, 2025. It counts the Shield Saw and the campaign’s melee weapons as weapons; the Chain Spear is listed separately because it was added with the later Revelations expansion. [PC Gamer]

Expansion weapon: Chain Spear
The Chain Spear arrives with Revelations, the campaign expansion. Bethesda describes it as a new weapon built around power and mobility in the July 7, 2026 Update 4 notes, and its expansion announcement also identifies it as part of Revelations. Neither official source names the mission, pickup, or trigger where it becomes available, so a precise chapter unlock cannot be confirmed from those materials. How weapon unlocks, ammo and upgrades work
Weapons become available progressively through the campaign. Some belong to the same weapon class and share an ammunition pool; you can swap between those weapons with one button press, but each remains a separate weapon with its own upgrades. [Bethesda: Getting Stronger]

Sentinel Shrines are where you spend resources on weapon improvements. Gold pays for upgrades, while higher tiers use Rubies and Wraithstones. The Combat Shotgun’s Incendiary upgrade, Power Gauntlet strike improvements and Shield Saw durability are examples of upgrade paths. Find Shrines and resources while exploring
Use the AutoMap to orient yourself around objectives, Sentinel Shrines and collectible or resource markers. Exploring secret areas can reveal upgrade resources and weapon-skin cosmetics; skins change appearance, not which weapons you have unlocked. [Bethesda Beginner’s Guide]

How to use the Shield Saw
The Shield Saw is more than a defensive tool. It blocks attacks and can reflect them with a well-timed parry. Shield Charge can help you evade or ram an enemy, while throwing the saw can lodge it in demons, stun them or kill lesser foes. Shrine upgrades can improve its durability. [Bethesda Beginner’s Guide]

Because weapon preferences and combat situations vary, experiment with your loadout rather than assuming one upgrade order suits every player. Prioritize the weapon abilities you use most, and return to a Sentinel Shrine when you have the resources for another tier.
