Aloft’s crafting recipes are split between inventory crafting and specialized workstations; ingredient order does not matter. There is no verified, current, complete recipe-and-ingredient list available here, so this guide maps the known crafting categories and stations without inventing counts or recipes. Use it to find where a recipe belongs, then check its exact ingredients and unlock in your current game.
How crafting recipes work in Aloft
The community-maintained Aloft Wiki’s crafting overview describes crafting as shapeless: the order in which you combine ingredients does not affect the result. It groups inventory crafting into Freecraft, Gear, Resources, Consumables, and Misc. Recipes also appear at dedicated stations, so a recipe reference is most useful when organized by crafting location rather than as one long list.
Aloft is an Early Access game. Its Steam store listing says it released on January 15, 2025, and warns that Early Access games may change. Recipe names, ingredient counts, and unlock routes can therefore differ as the game is updated.
Inventory crafting categories
The Wiki overview names these inventory categories and gives examples of items they cover. It does not establish a complete current recipe table or the ingredients for every listed item.

These examples are category pointers, not a claim that every named item is made in the same category or that the list is exhaustive. Check the in-game recipe display for the current ingredients and crafting location.
Crafting stations and the recipes they handle
The Wiki overview maps recipe families to stations. The descriptions below summarize those families; they are not exhaustive inventories of each station’s recipes.

The Wiki also lists inventory crafting as a recipe location. The table’s broad categories help identify where to look, but do not provide exact ingredient sets or per-recipe unlock requirements.
How stations and recipes unlock
Access to crafting is tied to progression and discovery. The Wiki’s building overview says crafting stations are unlocked through Knowledge or Research trees, while some other pieces are learned by finding them and using the Sketchbook. It also notes that some machines are found through Fresco Monuments.

The Wiki crafting overview says the Workbench recipe unlocks at the first Knowledge Stone. Its Workbench page search excerpt gives a build cost of five Wood for the station itself. That is a station construction cost, not an ingredient list for every recipe made at the Workbench.
Because unlock routes can depend on progression and discoveries, consult the relevant Knowledge/Research tree, Sketchbook entry, or Fresco Monument rather than assuming that every station is immediately craftable.

What a broader recipe guide covers—and leaves out
A player-authored Steam Community guide, “Aloft Item & Crafting Guide”, was posted February 12, 2025 and last updated December 11, 2025. It organizes material around Workbench tools and intermediates, production machines, fungicides and cures, farming products, mycology, blueprints, and resource gathering. It explicitly excludes food, cooking, eating, and farming details, directing readers to a separate cooking guide.
That guide is a broad navigation aid, not an official audit of every recipe in the current build. The sources available for this article do not establish a complete, officially verified list of all Aloft recipes or their exact ingredients. In particular, the Steam guide’s stated exclusions mean it cannot by itself serve as a complete reference for food and cooking.
Quick Recap
How to verify a recipe in your current game
- Identify whether the recipe appears in an inventory category or at a station; the Wiki’s station map can help narrow the location.
- If the station or recipe is unavailable, check Knowledge/Research progression, the Sketchbook, or nearby Fresco Monuments for the relevant discovery.
- Read the recipe shown in your current game for its exact ingredient quantities and any unlock requirement. Treat older guide entries as version-sensitive rather than assuming they match your build.
