Archive note: January 2025’s Prime Gaming promotion has ended. Amazon offered 16 downloadable PC games in weekly batches from January 2 through January 30, 2025, plus a separate rotating selection for cloud streaming through Amazon Luna. The downloadable games were redeemed through the Epic Games Store, GOG or Amazon Games App; Luna access was not the same as receiving a permanent PC download.
The original content update was published January 9, 2025, but it included the earlier January 2 releases and the remaining schedule. See Amazon’s archived announcement at Amazon’s January 2025 Prime Gaming content update.

January 2: Eastern Exorcist and The Bridge
Eastern Exorcist
This side-scrolling action RPG uses an East Asian-inspired supernatural setting. It is the stronger choice for players who want combat, bosses and a dramatic single-player journey.
#1 Best Overall
- Amazon.com Gift Cards never expire and carry no fees.
- Multiple gift card designs and denominations to choose from.
- Redeemable towards millions of items store-wide at Amazon.com or certain affiliated websites.
- Available for immediate delivery. Gift cards sent by email can be scheduled up to a year in advance.
- No returns and no refunds on Gift Cards.
The Bridge
The Bridge turns perspective, gravity and geometry into its main mechanics. Expect deliberate environmental puzzles rather than action or exploration.
January 9: BioShock 2 Remastered, Spirit Mancer and SkyDrift Infinity
BioShock 2 Remastered
The month’s most recognizable legacy release is 2K’s return to Rapture. Its first-person campaign combines shooting, plasmids and story-driven exploration. The Prime claim was specifically BioShock 2 Remastered, not the BioShock Collection.
Spirit Mancer
Spirit Mancer is an action game centered on defeating, capturing and using demons or spirits. It arrived through the Amazon Games App, so it was not an Epic or GOG license.
SkyDrift Infinity
This is an arcade air-racing game: fast courses, weapons and aerial maneuvering take priority over realistic flight simulation.

January 16: GRIP, SteamWorld Quest and the quiz game
GRIP
GRIP is the pick for arcade-racing fans who enjoy aggressive combat and gravity-defying vehicles. Its GOG redemption also makes it distinct from the Epic-distributed racers in the month.
SteamWorld Quest: Hand of Gilgamech
This approachable RPG uses a card-based deck to determine turn-based attacks and abilities. It suits players who want strategy without the length or complexity of a large traditional role-playing game.
Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?
The party quiz supports up to eight players and draws on thousands of voiced questions. It is best suited to a local group rather than a solo campaign.
January 23: the largest batch
Deus Ex: Game of the Year Edition
Warren Spector’s classic combines stealth, shooting, dialogue, exploration and role-playing systems. Its systems-driven design remains its attraction, although modern players should expect dated graphics and controls.

To the Rescue!
This management simulation asks you to operate a dog shelter, balancing care, adoption and resources. Choose it over the action titles if you prefer organization and humane-management decisions.
Star Stuff
Star Stuff turns programming and automation concepts into logic puzzles. It is a good fit for players who enjoy constructing solutions and debugging processes.
Spitlings
Spitlings is a demanding arcade platformer designed around multiplayer sessions. Its difficulty and group focus make it less appealing if you want a relaxed solo game.
Zombie Army 4: Dead War
This is January’s clearest co-op shooter: a third-person campaign with exaggerated undead World War II action. Playing with friends is its main reason to prioritize the claim.

January 30: ENDER LILIES, Blood West and Super Meat Boy Forever
ENDER LILIES: Quietus of the Knights
ENDER LILIES is a dark-fantasy action RPG with interconnected exploration, difficult bosses and ability-driven progression. It is the strongest modern-indie choice in the lineup for Metroidvania fans.
Blood West
Blood West applies immersive-sim ideas to a supernatural Wild West FPS. Stealth, exploration and resource management matter more than running into every fight.
Super Meat Boy Forever
Unlike the original Super Meat Boy, Forever is an auto-running platformer. Its short, demanding stages reward repeated attempts and precise timing.
Additional games available through Amazon Luna
Prime members also had access to a rotating Luna selection, which was streamed rather than claimed as a downloadable PC copy. The January announcement listed:

Cloud availability depended on the supported region, device and internet connection. Fortnite’s modes should not be counted as separate permanent downloadable giveaways.

These are editorial recommendations by player type, not an objective ranking:
| Player type | Priority claim | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Recognizable story shooter | BioShock 2 Remastered | A substantial campaign and famous setting |
| Classic-PC enthusiast | Deus Ex: GOTY Edition | Deep player choice and systemic design |
| Dark-fantasy action RPG | ENDER LILIES | Exploration, bosses and modern presentation |
| Co-op shooter | Zombie Army 4 | The lineup’s most obvious cooperative campaign |
| Deck-building strategy | SteamWorld Quest | Readable card combat and a distinctive style |
| Arcade racing | GRIP | Combat racing with unusual vehicle physics |
| Stealth and exploration FPS | Blood West | Niche supernatural Wild West setting |
| Puzzles or management | Star Stuff or To the Rescue! | Automation logic versus shelter administration |
Overall, the month favored older, niche and independently developed games rather than new AAA releases. That makes the value highly dependent on genre: BioShock 2, ENDER LILIES and Deus Ex are the safest starting points, while the smaller games reward specific tastes.
How redemption worked in January 2025
The following describes the process used during the expired promotion; Amazon’s 2026 interface may use different Luna terminology.
Crashes, No Sound, or Screen Glitches?

- Open a January title marked available and select its redemption option.
- For Epic releases, link or sign in to an Epic Games Store account, then redeem the offer.
- For GOG releases, copy the supplied code and redeem it through a GOG account.
- For Amazon Games App releases, add the game to the Amazon Games library and install Amazon’s launcher if prompted.
- For Luna releases, open the title in a supported country and stream it through a compatible device.
The resulting entitlement was associated with the relevant Epic, GOG or Amazon account. A GOG code was not interchangeable with an Epic claim, and Luna access was a rotating streaming benefit rather than the same kind of downloadable license.
Platform trade-offs
| Platform | Advantage | Trade-off |
|---|---|---|
| Epic Games Store | Familiar launcher and direct account redemption | Requires an Epic account and launcher |
| GOG | Classic-PC focus and generally DRM-free distribution approach | Requires a GOG account; older games may need configuration |
| Amazon Games App | Direct integration with Amazon’s game library | Adds another PC launcher to maintain |
| Amazon Luna | No download or installation for supported games | Requires supported region, device and reliable internet; access rotates |
Can you still claim the January 2025 games?
No. As of August 18, 2026, the January 2–30, 2025 claim windows are historical. Subscribing to Prime now should not be presented as unlocking this old list. Check Amazon’s current gaming page at games.amazon.com and the current Amazon Luna page for active benefits and regional availability. Amazon’s later materials describe Prime’s gaming benefit alongside the Luna ecosystem, so current labels and access rules may differ from those used in January 2025.
