Yes—as of August 18, 2026, Amazon Luna is available now, but not everywhere or in exactly the same form. The redesigned cloud-gaming service launched on October 23, 2025. A later rollout, beginning July 23, 2026, added a Luna Games tab inside Prime Video on eligible Fire TVs in the United States and United Kingdom. Cloud streaming is officially supported in 14 countries, and the games, devices, controllers and subscription options you can use depend on your market.
What Amazon actually changed
The October 2025 Luna redesign
Amazon’s main relaunch arrived on October 23, 2025. It introduced a new interface, more than 50 cloud-streamed games for Prime members in supported countries, and GameNight, a collection built for local multiplayer. Amazon also replaced Luna+ with the paid Luna Premium tier. The launch details are documented in Amazon’s Luna FAQ.
The July 2026 Prime Video expansion
On July 23, 2026, Amazon began surfacing Luna inside Prime Video on eligible Fire TVs in the U.S. and U.K. Prime members can open Prime Video, choose the Games tab and launch included titles without downloading a separate game or buying additional hardware. This is a distribution and discovery expansion—not the original Luna relaunch. See Amazon’s announcement at Prime Video and Luna.
Where Luna cloud streaming is available
As of August 18, 2026, Amazon officially lists cloud-delivered Luna games in these 14 countries:

Having Amazon Prime in another country does not automatically provide Luna cloud streaming there. Prime members outside these markets may still receive rotating downloadable PC games through the wider Prime benefit, but downloading a PC game is different from running a Luna game in the cloud. - Open the Prime Video app on an eligible Fire TV.
- Select the Games tab. Amazon may adjust menu labels in later Fire TV software versions.
- Choose an available Luna title.
- Connect a compatible controller, or use phones as controllers for supported GameNight games.
- Start the cloud stream; the included game does not need to be downloaded.
The Fire TV integration does not replace the standalone Luna service. Luna also remains available through supported televisions, mobile devices, computers, browsers and streaming boxes.

What Prime includes
In supported Luna countries, Prime includes more than 50 cloud-streamed games. Amazon has cited a changing mixture of recent releases, classics, indies, family games and licensed blockbusters, including examples such as Hogwarts Legacy, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, TopSpin 2K25, Fortnite, Fallout 3: Game of the Year Edition, Fallout: New Vegas – Ultimate Edition, Resident Evil 2, Borderlands 3, Dead Island 2, Alien: Isolation, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Devil May Cry 5. Amazon’s July 2026 announcement also lists EA Sports FC 26.

These are representative examples, not a permanent promise. Amazon says the catalog evolves and games can leave. Check the live Luna service for the titles available to your account and country.
Do you need Prime?
Prime is the main entry point to the redesigned Luna experience, but it is not the only access route Amazon has described. Luna Premium remains a paid option for a larger, changing catalog. Amazon’s October 2025 FAQ also described individual purchases and selected third-party offerings, including Ubisoft+, but later 2026 reports suggested that Amazon was withdrawing or removing some of those older features. The currently available official pages do not establish their final status on August 18, 2026, so verify your live Luna account and support pages before relying on purchases or linked third-party libraries.

GameNight: phone-controlled local multiplayer
GameNight is not a conventional online multiplayer service. For supported titles, open the game on a compatible large screen, scan the QR code shown on the TV, and let each participant use a smartphone as a controller. Amazon says one Prime membership is enough for the people playing locally, and its FAQ says remote online multiplayer is not currently supported.
Amazon announced more than 25 GameNight titles at launch, but that collection can change. Phone controls apply to supported GameNight experiences only. Most other Luna games require a compatible controller or a mouse and keyboard.
What you need for a good Luna session
- A supported country for cloud-delivered games.
- A supported device or browser, with model-level compatibility checked.
- An Amazon account and the Prime or Premium access required for the game.
- A stable internet connection with sufficiently low latency; performance varies with Wi-Fi congestion, network stability, device support and Amazon’s service conditions.
- A compatible controller for most non-GameNight titles.
- A smartphone for each GameNight participant.
Cloud streaming is not equivalent to installing a game locally. Input delay, image quality and interruptions can be more noticeable on a congested or high-latency connection, particularly in competitive games.
Who should use Luna?
Luna makes sense when
- You already pay for Prime and own a supported TV, tablet, phone or computer.
- You want casual access without buying a console or gaming PC.
- Your household wants same-room party games without purchasing several controllers.
- You are comfortable with a rotating subscription catalog and cloud-dependent performance.
- You own an eligible Fire TV in the U.S. or U.K. and want games in the Prime Video interface.
Look elsewhere when
- You live outside the 14 Luna cloud-streaming countries.
- Your internet connection is unreliable or you need the lowest possible input latency.
- You want permanent ownership, offline play or maximum game compatibility.
- Your preferred titles are not in the current Prime or Premium catalog.
- You would buy Prime solely for Luna and do not value Prime’s other benefits.
For owned PC libraries, GeForce NOW may be a better fit; Xbox Cloud Gaming suits users seeking a broad subscription catalog; and a local console or PC remains stronger for consistent latency, offline access and ownership. Check each service’s current plans and supported libraries before subscribing.
