Amnesia: Rebirth and Riverbond were free to claim on the Epic Games Store from April 21 through April 28, 2022. That promotion has ended, so the games are not available through that expired offer.
When were the games free?
Epic Games Store’s giveaway ran from April 21 to April 28, 2022, according to contemporaneous reports from Game*Spark and Video Games Chronicle. The two titles were included in the same weekly promotion. The claim window is over.
What were the games?
- Amnesia: Rebirth: A first-person horror adventure from Frictional Games.
- Riverbond: A couch co-op voxel adventure from Cococucumber.
Those descriptions were reported at the time by Neowin; they describe distinct genres and play styles, not a ranking of the games.
Does Epic still give away games?
Yes. Epic’s Free Games page describes a recurring program, saying, “Epic Games Store gives you a free game every week,” and “Get a new free game every Thursday on Mobile and PC!” The featured games change, however, so that general schedule does not mean Amnesia: Rebirth or Riverbond are currently free. Check the live page for the games available now.
