The 2025 May Day maze in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the cliffs layout: look for two fruits diagonally to the left of the entrance. Follow the route below to reach Rover, crafting a ladder along the way. The nine Bell Vouchers are optional, but collecting all of them requires saving fruit for the rocks on the outer island.
Confirm you have the 2025 maze layout
Animal Crossing World identifies the cliffs layout as Maze #2 and associates it with odd years, including 2025. Its entrance has two fruits diagonally to the left and cliffs are visible around the maze. The flat layout has one fruit left of the entrance and is associated with even years, including 2026. If your maze has the cliffs and two diagonal fruits, use these directions. Animal Crossing World’s May Day maze guide includes maps and screenshots for checking orientation.
What to know before you start
Nintendo describes the May Day ticket as single-use. You arrive without tools and must find and craft what you need using resources on the tour island; the prize and any Bell Vouchers you collect are mailed after you return. Nintendo’s May Day announcement explains the ticket and reward mechanics.
- Keep track of your fruit: you will need it to break rocks and dig up trees, and extra fruit is useful for the optional voucher route.
- If you make a mistake and cannot continue, Rescue Service can reset the maze for 100 Nook Miles while you are still on the tour island.
