What are Star Remnants?
Traits are modifiers that affect a unit’s stats, including damage, seconds per attack (SPA), and range. Star Remnants are one of the currencies community guides describe for changing a unit’s trait; Reroll Tokens are the other reported option. How many Star Remnants does a trait reroll cost?
The Anime Adventures community wiki reports this rarity-based cost table. Pro Game Guides also reports a five-Remnant cost for Mythical units. These are community-published figures, not current official confirmation; check the reroll screen in your game for the cost that applies to your unit.

How to reroll a trait with Star Remnants
The community Traits guide says to interact with the Ethereal Guide near the Evolve area in the lobby, then select the unit and use the reroll option. Treat that NPC name and location as community-documented directions; verify the current interface in-game, since the available sources do not establish that the route remains unchanged.

How to get more Star Remnants
Community sources list several possible routes. Availability and rewards can change, and these sources do not confirm that every route or amount is active in the current game.
- Daily Challenges: The community Challenges page reports rewards of 10 to 50 Star Remnants. It does not establish that this range is guaranteed for every challenge or account.
- Travelling Merchant Shop: The community Traits guide lists the shop as a possible source. Check its current stock and terms in-game.
- Removing a shiny: The community FAQ says removing a shiny from a Legendary or Mythical unit can yield Star Remnants. It does not state the current amount. Consider the consequence for your roster before using this route.
- Star Golem in Infinite Mode: The Traits guide reports Star Golems in the latest Infinite Mode as a source. The guide does not establish that the mode or reward is unchanged in the live game.
- Summons: The Traits guide reports a 0.25% chance of receiving Star Remnants from summons. This is a community-reported chance, not a verified current rate.
- Dungeon chests: A community dungeon guide dated September 24, 2026 reports possible rewards of two Remnants from a standard chest and five from a rare chest. These are listed as possible rewards, not guaranteed drops. See the dungeon guide.
Should you spend Star Remnants or Reroll Tokens?
The community Traits guide reports that Reroll Tokens can also reroll traits, at one token per roll regardless of rarity. It lists Battlepasses, Evolution Quests, and events as token sources, but those routes may change. Compare the cost shown for your unit with the balances and rewards currently available on your account.

Since a reroll consumes a resource and the cited guides do not establish an optimal strategy, prioritize units you expect to keep rather than spending on a temporary roster slot. For a Mythical or Secret unit, the reported Remnant cost is higher than for lower rarities, making the in-game cost display especially important to check before confirming.
