Anime Vanguards familiars are companion items that enhance compatible units with stats, elemental bonuses, or special effects. Their acquisition depends on the familiar: routes reported by guides include raids, stages, rifts, dungeons, event shops, and legacy rewards. The latest dated additions found are five Vanguard Familiars listed in the Wrath Event shop in a guide updated September 14, 2026; this is not a verified complete roster, and live availability can change.
What familiars do
Familiars are equipped through the Unit menu and provide benefits to the unit they accompany. Depending on the familiar, guides describe effects involving damage, range, critical performance, elemental damage, economy, or other mechanics. Choose one for a particular unit and build rather than assuming there is a universally best familiar; some Vanguard Familiars are tied to a specific unit. The older Anime Vanguards Wiki entry documents the menu and familiar system, while a more recent unofficial guide describes these effect categories.

See the older roster page for the source-recorded entries. The page also names Pupper, Gon, Pachiru, and Bobodi, but the retrieved roster information does not establish complete, current routes for them. A separate unofficial guide associates Pupper and Bobodi with Land of The Gods Legend Stage Act 3, Gon and Pachiru with Rift Shop, and Chili with Frozen Volcano Dungeon Shop. These routes are not corroborated by the older roster excerpt, so check the current game rather than treating them as settled.

How to find and obtain a specific familiar
- Check the familiar’s unit pairing. For a Vanguard Familiar, verify the bound unit in its tooltip or shop listing and make sure it suits your roster.
- Look for the route named in a current in-game menu. Familiar guides report raid and stage drops, rift and dungeon shops, and event or legacy shops. Historical guides may list routes that are no longer active.
- Check the live cost, drop chance, and event status. Where a fan guide gives a rate or currency price, treat it as guide-reported and confirm the current value in game.
- Before rerolling or applying corruption, inspect the current item rules. The older wiki says Elemental Shards reroll an elemental passive or buff, Phoenix Shards reroll stats, and corrupted familiars cannot be rerolled with those shards. It also describes Corruption Crystals from the Odyssey realm and a random Corruption I–IV effect. These mechanics are documented by an older source and are not independently confirmed by the newer guide, so check the live interface before spending scarce items.
Is there a complete current familiar list?
No complete roster and obtainability status for October 2026 is established here. The September 14 Wrath’s End guide is the newest dated familiar material available for this article, while the older wiki is useful as a historical name-and-route reference. Since game content and event shops can change, use the in-game menu, stage rewards, and shop tooltips to confirm whether a listed familiar can still be obtained.
