For standard multiplayer, the best all-round Support loadout is the one that keeps you close enough to supply and revive teammates, with an LMG chosen for the map’s engagement distance. EA identifies the Supply Bag and LMGs as Support signatures, but does not designate a universally best weapon or attachment setup. REDSEC has separately announced equipment and training-path changes for Season 5; those are planned for 2027, not a reason to change a standard multiplayer build today.
What makes a Support loadout effective?
Support is built around keeping teammates in the fight. Electronic Arts says the class heals and supplies allies, deploys cover, and can intercept enemy grenades and missiles. Its class page sums up the role: “The Support class is there to pull you out of the fire, throw down supply crates, and heal you in the fight.” EA’s Battlefield 6 class guide identifies the Supply Bag as Support’s signature gadget; EA’s loadout guide names LMGs as its signature weapon category.

That makes the practical priority order straightforward: keep useful team-sustain tools equipped, stay near the squad, and select a primary weapon you can handle at the distances your map is likely to demand. This is a role-based recommendation, not an EA-tested or developer-endorsed “best” build. Loadouts also include a grenade and training path, so make those choices for the job you expect to do rather than treating the gun as the whole class.
Recommended standard multiplayer loadout
Team-first baseline
- Class: Support.
- Signature utility: Keep the Supply Bag available to support your squad, and favor revive and supply utility that helps you stay active around allies.
- Primary: Start with an LMG, Support’s signature weapon class, then choose the specific gun and attachments to suit the map and your handling preferences.
- Positioning: Fight close enough to reach teammates who need supplies or revives instead of sitting so far behind that your class utility goes unused.
EA describes the class role and loadout structure but does not name one LMG, grenade, or attachment combination as universally best. Weapon unlocks, map sightlines, playlist, and personal comfort all affect the right selection. A long-range setup that feels controlled on open lanes may be less useful when your squad is pushing through close quarters.

Example L110 configuration
For players who want a concrete LMG example, PC Gamer writer Sean Martin recommends a Compensated Brake for recoil control, a 465MM LB barrel for bullet velocity, and a stubby underbarrel for precision, control, and aim-down-sight performance. The guide favors the standard 100-round belt pouch over a 200-round option because of the larger pouch’s aim-down-sight cost, suggests Hollow Point ammunition, and prefers a 1.75× optic. These are that writer’s recommendations, not a universal or independently established best build; weapon balance changes can alter their value. See PC Gamer’s L110 loadout guide for the full attachment discussion.
The tradeoff is the point: a build can improve recoil handling, precision, or bullet velocity while giving something up in handling or capacity. Choose the setup that helps you contribute reliably at your usual range, rather than assuming the longest belt or highest magnification is automatically better.

How to choose between Support setups
| Situation | Loadout direction | What to weigh |
|---|---|---|
| Close-range pushes | Use a primary and sight you can handle quickly, while staying near the squad with supply and revive utility. | Handling and close-range comfort matter more than building solely for distant lanes. |
| Mixed sightlines | Use an LMG setup that feels controllable across the ranges your squad is likely to fight. | Balance recoil, precision, velocity, and aim-down-sight performance. |
| Longer sightlines | Favor a setup that helps you place sustained fire at range, but do not abandon the Support role by positioning too far from allies. | Range-oriented attachments are useful only if you can still provide team support. |
The table is a practical decision framework, not a claim that EA prescribes particular weapons or attachments for each situation. The September 2026 Battlefield 6 Wiki class guide likewise advises Support players to use LMGs for sustained fire while remaining close enough to supply and revive teammates; that is third-party tactical guidance.
Standard multiplayer and REDSEC are not interchangeable
EA’s loadout guide is marked as recently updated for Season 4. In a separate preview, EA describes planned Season 5 changes specifically for REDSEC. The preview says Season 5 and beyond are planned for 2027, and the changes should be treated as announced rather than live until official release notes confirm them. Do not transfer these REDSEC details to standard multiplayer.

For REDSEC, EA’s preview says the Supply Bag and Smoke Launcher will move into the loot pool, while Supply Pouches and Deployable Cover replace them as starting equipment. It also outlines Support training-path benefits:
- Level 2: Drag downed soldiers 20% faster and revive them 2.5 seconds quicker; the preview also describes a sprint bonus under heavy fire.
- Level 3: Apply an armor plate when reviving, and spawn a lootable armor plate when placing cover.
- Level 4: Increase class-gadget resupply rate by 10% per improvement.
These are balance figures in EA’s 2026 REDSEC preview, not player-performance statistics. EA’s separate Community Update also says armor plating will be 20% faster across all classes in REDSEC. For the latest status, check EA’s Season 5 and beyond preview alongside live update notes.
What “best” can—and cannot—mean here
The official EA pages establish Support’s role, signature gadget, and weapon category, but do not identify a single top weapon build. The available L110 attachment list is a third-party writer’s recommendation rather than a developer ranking. No attributable pick-rate, win-rate, or weapon-performance statistic in the cited material proves that one configuration outperforms the rest. Treat exact attachment choices as conditional on mode, map, unlocks, handling preference, and the current game balance.
