Anime Village Online is an announced life-simulation game listed on the PlayStation Store for 2027. Its advertised mix of village building, home decorating, crafting, farming, fishing and online co-op has prompted Insider Gaming to call it an “Animal Crossing clone.” That label describes a reported resemblance, not a legal finding or proof that the games play alike.
What is Anime Village Online?
The PlayStation Store listing describes Anime Village Online as a cozy life simulation in which players can build a village, decorate a home and play alone or with friends online. It credits Wisnu Sudirman as publisher and gives the release year as 2027. That is a listed release window, not an exact launch date.

What features does the PlayStation listing advertise?
The store description promotes a range of familiar life-simulation activities. These are announced features, not independently verified gameplay or a guarantee that every item will appear in the final release.

Why is it being called an Animal Crossing clone?
Insider Gaming reported on October 9, 2025, that the game had appeared on the PlayStation Store, attributing the discovery to TheGamer. The report characterized its cozy life-simulation premise and advertised activities as reminiscent of Animal Crossing. The comparison is understandable at the level of the announced concept: both evoke village life and customization alongside activities such as crafting, farming and fishing.

- Watch as the time of day and seasons match real life—even your hemisphere. Each day holds potential for surprises and discoveries

- Show off your paradise – play on the same system with a total of 4 people, or play together online or over local wireless for fun with up to 8 players
But “clone” is a media characterization, not an established legal conclusion. The available reporting and store listing do not establish copying, a shared development team, equivalent gameplay quality, or a legal response from Nintendo or Sony. The listing is the primary source for the game’s credited publisher, release year and advertised features; Insider Gaming’s report provides the comparison.

The PlayStation Store entry establishes what the game is currently advertised to offer, but it does not demonstrate those features in play. The available sources do not identify a development team beyond the publisher credit or establish development progress, an exact launch date, or final feature delivery. They also do not confirm a legal response by Nintendo or Sony.

For now, Anime Village Online is best understood as a 2027-listed PlayStation game with an Animal Crossing-like advertised premise—not as a released game or a proven copy. Players looking for a released game in the genre can consider Animal Crossing: New Horizons on Nintendo Switch; current price and availability are not established here.
