Ubisoft unveiled the first gameplay for Anno 117: Pax Romana on May 19, 2025, and said the Roman-era city builder would launch later that year. The game has since been released: Ubisoft’s April 2026 roadmap gives its release date as November 13, 2025. The reveal introduced a governor’s task of building across Roman-inspired Latium and Celtic-inspired Albion.
What the first gameplay reveal showed
In Ubisoft’s May 19, 2025 announcement, the player is appointed governor by the Emperor and can choose which province to develop first. The stated ambition is to grow a settlement into a civilization spanning Latium and Albion.

The showcase emphasized city-building at different scales: major landmarks such as colosseums and aqueducts, as well as smaller environmental details. Ubisoft also presented the governing choices as part of the city-builder’s central appeal: meeting imperial demands while responding to citizens, shaping cultural identity, and deciding how to handle relations with neighboring powers.

Release date, platforms, and current status
The initial announcement gave a release window rather than a day: later in 2025. Ubisoft’s April 30, 2026 Year 1 roadmap subsequently identifies November 13, 2025 as the release date. The first gameplay announcement named PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Connect.
Ubisoft scheduled a gameplay livestream for May 21, 2025, featuring Game Director Jan, Art Director Reiko, and Community Developer Oliver. Its official gameplay showcase listing, dated May 19, 2025, describes a Latium walkthrough from early settlement through Roman governance.

What Ubisoft’s Year 1 roadmap says
The April 2026 roadmap describes three gameplay DLC plans: Prophecies of Ash, The Hippodrome, and Dawn of the Delta, alongside cosmetic content and free updates. It labels Dawn of the Delta for November 2026; that is the date stated in the April roadmap, not a confirmation of its status as of October 2026.
