AOC’s Q27G3H is a 27-inch, 2560 × 1440 Fast IPS gaming monitor with a claimed maximum refresh rate of 200Hz. Its March 2025 launch price of 1,149 yuan converted to roughly $158, but that was a China-market price—not a confirmed U.S. price or evidence of a U.S. launch. Chinese launch coverage and international reporting place its initial sale in China on or around March 28–29, 2025.
What the AOC Q27G3H offers
The Q27G3H pairs QHD resolution with a high refresh rate and an adjustable stand, making it a value-oriented gaming display rather than a premium HDR model. AOC’s China product page later listed it at 1,099 yuan. The model is distinct from similarly named AOC displays such as the Q27G3XMN, Q27G4/D, Q27G4X, Q27G41E, and 27G4H; check the complete model number before comparing listings. AOC China product page

Why the price needs a market label
The roughly $158 figure was a contemporary conversion of the Chinese launch price, not a U.S. MSRP. AOC’s China product page later showed 1,099 yuan, while Chinese launch reporting also mentioned a 976.65-yuan government-subsidy price. That subsidy is not a standard international retail price. Currency conversion alone also excludes any import shipping, taxes, marketplace fees, and the cost of handling a return or warranty claim.

The available listings establish China-market availability, including a JD.com listing reported by Gizmochina. They do not establish a North American release, official U.S. retailer listing, U.S. warranty coverage, or regional power compatibility. A U.S. buyer should treat the monitor as an import unless a seller can document otherwise.
What “200Hz overclocked” means for PC gaming
Launch coverage describes 200Hz as an overclocked maximum, not a confirmed native refresh rate. Reaching it may require enabling an overclock option in the monitor’s on-screen menu, then selecting 200Hz at 2560 × 1440 in the operating system or graphics-card control panel. The available information does not establish which connection supports that mode or the monitor’s exact adaptive-sync range.

A 200Hz setting is useful only if the PC can deliver enough frames at QHD to take advantage of it. It may also be less stable on some systems or introduce flicker, artifacts, or frame skipping. Connect directly to the graphics card, use a suitable high-bandwidth cable, enable the monitor’s overclock setting, and select the desired mode in display settings. If the image becomes unstable, lower the refresh rate and disable overclocking. Check that the chosen mode is actually active and verify frame delivery with a suitable frame-skipping test; selecting 200Hz alone does not prove every frame is displayed.
For troubleshooting, try another input or cable, update the graphics driver, and test adaptive sync and motion-blur reduction separately. If 200Hz does not appear, an adapter, dock, driver setting, or connection bandwidth may be limiting the available modes.

Fast IPS, response claims, and motion
Fast IPS is a sensible speed-and-image-quality compromise: compared with traditional TN panels, IPS generally offers wider viewing angles and more consistent color behavior. The label alone, however, does not establish excellent motion handling. AOC’s advertised 1ms GtG and 0.3ms MPRT figures describe different things and are not interchangeable independent test results. GtG refers to pixel transitions; MPRT is associated with perceived moving-image persistence and commonly relies on a motion-blur-reduction mode. Do not add the figures together or assume either applies in every mode.
Overdrive settings can change results: too much overdrive may create bright inverse ghosting, while a blur-reduction mode may dim the image or introduce flicker. The available launch information does not provide independent measurements of input lag, response behavior, overshoot, or frame skipping at 200Hz. Competitive players who need verified motion performance should wait for independent testing rather than buying on the response-time labels alone.

What the HDR and color specifications do—and do not—promise
The reported 400-nit typical brightness, DisplayHDR 400, 99% sRGB, and 95% DCI-P3 coverage are specification claims, not a substitute for independent measurements. DisplayHDR 400 is an entry-level HDR tier; it does not by itself promise OLED-like blacks, high-impact highlights, or effective local dimming. IPS panels typically have weaker native contrast than VA or OLED displays, so HDR may look subdued, particularly in dark scenes.
The reported 10-bit support is described as 8-bit plus frame-rate control (FRC), rather than a native 10-bit panel. Some coverage also cites factory calibration below Delta E 2, but that claim has not been independently verified here. The listed gamut may interest creators, but color-critical work calls for measured accuracy. Independent contrast, black-level, HDR-brightness, and calibration results are not established.

Adaptive sync, ports, and console use
Reported gaming features include Adaptive Sync, AMD FreeSync compatibility, low-input-lag mode, shadow or dark-field control, Game Color adjustments, an on-screen aiming aid, and motion-blur reduction. Adaptive-sync behavior can depend on the graphics card, driver, connection, and refresh-rate mode. The available evidence does not establish NVIDIA G-SYNC certification, nor whether variable refresh and blur reduction can operate together at their full capabilities.
Listings name HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, and a 3.5mm audio output, but the HDMI label alone does not verify full HDMI 2.1 bandwidth. The evidence also does not establish which input supports QHD at 200Hz. Consoles are limited by their own supported output modes and will not use a 200Hz refresh rate simply because the monitor advertises one. Do not assume a particular PlayStation 5 or Xbox resolution-and-refresh combination without checking the monitor’s regional manual and the console’s supported modes.
Quick Recap
Is the Q27G3H a good fit?
It makes the most sense for
- China-based PC gamers who can buy from a seller with local warranty and returns.
- Players seeking QHD sharpness at 27 inches and a refresh rate above common 144Hz or 180Hz options.
- Buyers who want a height-adjustable, swivel, tilt, and pivot stand, or plan to use a VESA arm.
- PC owners whose graphics cards can produce high frame rates at 1440p.
Consider another option if
- You need straightforward U.S. availability, warranty service, or returns.
- You mainly play on a console and would pay extra for a refresh rate the console cannot use.
- You want strong HDR, deep blacks, or proven color accuracy.
- You compete at a level where measured input lag, overshoot, and motion clarity matter.
- Your PC cannot sustain high frame rates at QHD; a 144–180Hz QHD monitor may be a more practical match.
How it compares with other monitor types
| Alternative | Trade-off to weigh |
|---|---|
| 27-inch QHD 144–180Hz IPS | Lower refresh ceiling and typically less GPU demand; may be easier to find with local support. |
| 27-inch QHD 240Hz | Higher competitive-gaming ceiling, but generally a more expensive class of display. |
| 27-inch VA | Can offer stronger contrast; motion behavior varies by model. |
| 27-inch OLED | Much deeper blacks and more impactful HDR, typically at a substantially higher price and with burn-in considerations. |
| 27-inch 1080p 200Hz | Easier to drive and potentially cheaper, but less sharp at 27 inches than QHD. |
What to check before buying an imported unit
- Confirm the full model number is Q27G3H; AOC’s similar Q27 names refer to other models.
- Check the seller’s identity, final delivered cost, import charges, and return shipping terms.
- Get the warranty territory, return window, and dead-pixel policy in writing.
- Confirm the included power adapter and plug are suitable for your location, and ask about menu and documentation language.
- Verify which input and cable support the resolution and refresh rate you intend to use; do not infer full HDMI bandwidth from the port label.
- Do not make the purchase decision on “1ms” or HDR400 alone; those labels do not establish independently measured performance.
