AGON by AOC has announced the AGON PRO AGP257FT, a 24.5-inch Full HD esports monitor with a native 1,000Hz refresh rate. AOC says an overclocked mode can reach 1,050Hz. The monitor is expected from Q1 2027, while European pricing has not yet been announced.
What AOC announced
The AGON PRO AGP257FT is positioned for professional esports and other competitive, fast-paced games. AOC announced the model on 30 September 2026 and lists it as a 1920 × 1080 display using an oxide-based Fast IPS panel.
The headline 1,000Hz figure is native, not an overclocked maximum. AOC also specifies a 1,050Hz overclock option. The company says both modes can be used through DisplayPort 2.1 or HDMI 2.1, although the exact system requirements and game support will depend on the connected hardware.

What the response-time numbers mean
AOC lists two different motion metrics: 0.3ms GtG and 0.1ms MPRT. GtG (grey-to-grey) describes a pixel transition, while MPRT (moving-picture response time) is associated with motion-blur-reduction operation. They are not interchangeable measurements, and the announcement describes the 0.3ms GtG figure as a minimum.
Features beyond refresh rate
The display includes 20-zone local dimming, 450-nit typical brightness and DisplayHDR 400 certification. AOC also claims 99% sRGB and 90% DCI-P3 coverage. Those figures indicate the advertised colour and HDR capabilities, but they do not establish uniformity, contrast, blooming or real-world HDR quality.

No price has been announced. AOC says local European pricing will be provided closer to launch. There is currently no verified retail price or purchase availability to report.
Who is a 1,000Hz monitor for?
The AGP257FT is aimed at players who prioritise competitive responsiveness over resolution. A 1,000Hz display can only show a new frame when the computer supplies frames at a correspondingly high rate; the benefit therefore depends on the game, graphics settings, CPU, GPU and complete display pipeline.

- 27” QHD IPS DISPLAY: Enjoy stunning detail and vibrant color with a 2560x1440 Quad HD resolution on a 27-inch IPS panel, offering wide viewing angles and precise image quality.
- 240HZ REFRESH RATE & 0.3MS RESPONSE TIME: Take competitive gaming to the next level with a blazing-fast 240Hz refresh rate (via DisplayPort) and ultra-responsive 0.3ms MPRT for minimal blur and maximum clarity.
- ADAPTIVE-SYNC SUPPORT: Say goodbye to screen tearing and input lag with Adaptive-Sync for fluid, uninterrupted performance across both AMD and NVIDIA GPUs.
- TILT ADJUSTMENT: Customize your setup with -3° to +21° tilt range for ergonomic positioning.
- ENHANCED GAMING FEATURES: Includes Shadow Control, Game Mode presets, and a user-friendly graphical OSD menu for fast and intuitive performance tuning.
A high refresh rate also does not by itself prove lower input latency, cleaner motion or better image quality. Independent testing is still needed to assess those factors, along with the behaviour of the 1,050Hz overclock mode, the 0.3ms GtG claim, backlight-strobing operation and HDR performance.
