Takeover was Apex Legends Season 24, launched February 11, 2025. It paired creator-led challenges and anniversary rewards with new weapon stations, Legend changes, and a new path to Ranked for some players. Its timed rewards were described at launch; current availability is not established.
How the Creator Commissioner challenges worked
Four Creator Commissioners each led a two-week challenge period. The first week was a community challenge: players contributed toward shared milestones that determined the reward tier. The second week required individual challenges to claim the rewards tied to that tier.

Week one: contribute to a community milestone
Depending on the community’s progress, 10, 15, or 20 Apex Packs became earnable in the following week. Completing the first week alone did not automatically grant the packs or the other rewards.
Week two: complete five personal challenges
Players had to finish five individual challenges to unlock the creator-selected Legendary weapon skin and the Apex Packs associated with the community’s tier. EA also described a Twitch Drops banner frame and a creator-themed tracker set in the Featured store that players could gift to friends. Twitch Drops required linking an EA account and a Twitch account; EA’s announcement does not establish whether the drop or store items remain available now. EA’s Creator Commissioner announcement.
What the Legend Spotlight Pass included
The Legend Spotlight Pass offered 20 levels of challenges and rewards focused on a selected Legend. EA said the pass could be purchased in the in-game store for a Legend during the season, and that it unlocked the featured Legend for players who did not already own them.

These are the rewards EA listed at launch, not confirmation that a Season 24 pass can still be bought or completed. EA’s Spotlight Pass announcement.
The Anniversary Event and Battle Pass
Takeover’s Anniversary Event included a community-created reward tracker. Its Mythic Mayhem Royale featured Rampart-themed supply drops containing fully kitted R-301 variants. Separately, the Takeover Battle Pass Split 1 offered 60 levels of Legendary looks and a Reactive Skin, according to EA’s Season 24 overview.

Gameplay changes in Takeover
Arsenals brought weapons to players
Arsenals were weapon stations stocked with weapons of a single ammo type. EA presented them as a way to bring weapons to players during a match, rather than requiring players to find every weapon in the usual way.
Legend updates and balance changes
The season overview also highlighted new perks for Assault Legends and changes to Ash and Ballistic. The overview is not a complete balance reference; for exact tuning or mode-specific details, consult the official Takeover patch notes.

Road to Ranked and the Bot Royale Tutorial
The patch notes introduced Road to Ranked challenges for new players and returning players who had not yet met Ranked access requirements. The minimum level remained 20, and existing players above level 20 kept access. Party members had to complete the challenges. Accounts below level 20 entered a Bot Royale Tutorial by default, with manual controls available in the System menu. These rules describe the launch patch; consult EA’s notes for the exact requirements and any platform or mode qualifications.

EA’s launch announcements describe the challenges, event, and pass as Season 24 offerings, but do not establish whether their timed rewards or purchases are accessible now. Do not assume that a past event reward, Twitch Drop, or Spotlight Pass can still be earned; check the current in-game store and official Apex Legends announcements for any return or rerun.
