What Apex Legends Twitch Drops are—and what you need
Twitch Drops are campaign-specific in-game rewards for watching eligible broadcasts. Not every Apex Legends stream qualifies: each campaign sets its own eligible channels, viewing time, dates, account or platform conditions, and whether a reward is guaranteed or awarded by chance. Check the current campaign details before you watch; Twitch’s [2026 Summer Drop Fest announcement](https://blog.twitch.tv/en/2026/07/10/twitch-summer-drop-fest-2026/) is one example of time-limited programming that may include Apex.

Before linking, make sure you can sign in to both accounts and complete any required two-factor authentication. Most importantly, identify the EA Account associated with the Apex account where you want the reward. EA says Twitch must be linked to the EA Account used to play the game: EA’s Twitch Drops guidance.
Apex progress and content are associated with an EA Account, not merely the device or Twitch username. Cross-progression does not make separate EA Accounts interchangeable. How to link your EA Account to Twitch
- Go to EA Account settings and sign in to the EA Account you use for Apex Legends.
- Open Connected Accounts and find Twitch.
- Select Connect or Twitch, depending on the interface, then select Continue.
- Sign in to the Twitch account you intend to use and approve the authorization request.
- Return to EA Account settings and check that Twitch appears as connected.
EA documents the path as EA Account → Connected Accounts → Twitch → Continue, followed by Twitch sign-in and authorization. The account shown in the authorization window matters: if it is not the Twitch account you intend to use, stop and switch accounts before approving.
- Confirm the Twitch username is the one you will watch on.
- Confirm the EA Account is the one associated with your Apex progress.
- Check that your Apex platform account is connected to that EA Account.
- If Twitch displays authorized connections, check that EA or Electronic Arts is listed.
- Make sure a different browser profile or saved login has not silently selected another account.
How to earn and claim an Apex Twitch Drop
- Sign in to the linked Twitch account and open a stream listed as eligible for an active Apex Drop campaign.
- Watch for the campaign’s required time. Follow the campaign rules for any account, platform, or broadcast conditions.
- On Twitch, open your profile menu and choose Drops & Rewards to check progress.
- When the reward is ready, select Claim. Watching alone may not complete the claim.
- Launch or restart Apex Legends and check for the reward.
EA says some rewards can take up to 24 hours to appear in-game after claiming. A campaign may also offer a chance to win rather than guarantee an item, so follow its terms before assuming that completing the watch time guarantees a reward. See EA’s instructions for claiming Twitch Drops.

How to unlink Twitch from your EA Account
First distinguish Twitch from the gaming-platform account you use to play Apex. Twitch links to EA for Drops; Steam, PlayStation Network, Xbox, or Nintendo accounts link to EA for playing. If your concern is a Drop, do not unlink your gaming platform as a troubleshooting shortcut.
- Sign in to the EA Account with the Twitch connection you want to remove.
- Open Connected Accounts and find Twitch.
- Select Unlink, if available, and read the warning shown for your account.
- Check the confirmation box and select Unlink only if you understand the consequences.
- If you need to verify the change, check Twitch’s connected-app settings for Electronic Arts, if that option is available in the current Twitch interface.
EA’s general unlink instructions start at EA Account → Connected Accounts. If Twitch has no unlink control there, use EA Support rather than repeatedly disconnecting accounts through different routes. The control and restrictions can depend on the account relationship and EA’s current account flow.

Risks to check before unlinking or switching accounts
A Twitch-only change is different from changing your Apex platform link
Removing Twitch is not the same as unlinking the PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, or Nintendo account used to play. EA warns that unlinking a gaming-platform account and connecting it to another EA Account can affect access to progress, purchases, DLC, subscriptions, Battle Pass leveling, and items. Apex progress and content remain associated with the EA Account. Review the warning in EA’s unlinking guidance before changing a platform link.
Switching accounts may trigger a six-month restriction
EA’s general unlink policy warns that after a connected account is unlinked from one EA Account and linked to a new EA Account, it cannot be unlinked again for six months. Because the restriction and available controls can depend on the relationship and account, treat the warning shown in your live account settings as decisive rather than assuming the rule applies identically to every Twitch-only disconnection.

A claimed reward cannot be moved to the right account later
EA says a reward claimed on the wrong EA Account cannot be transferred. Confirm the pairing before watching and claiming, not after the reward appears to be missing. EA’s Twitch Drop guidance explains this limitation.

Twitch shows no progress or no Claim button
- Check that the campaign is still active and the broadcast is eligible and Drops-enabled.
- Confirm you watched for the campaign’s required time and met any other stated conditions.
- Open Twitch Drops & Rewards and check whether progress is still updating or a claim is waiting.
- Make sure you watched while signed in to the Twitch account linked to the correct EA Account.
- Check whether the campaign offers a chance to receive a reward instead of a guaranteed Drop.
Do not unlink accounts just because progress has not refreshed. First establish whether Twitch shows the Drop as earned or claimable.

The Drop is claimed but does not appear in Apex
- Verify the reward shows as claimed in Twitch Drops & Rewards.
- Check that Twitch is linked to the EA Account holding your Apex progress, and that the platform account you play on is connected to that EA Account.
- Sign out and back in if needed, then restart Apex and your gaming platform.
- Allow up to 24 hours after claiming for the reward to appear.
- If it is still missing, follow EA’s missing-content steps or contact EA Support.
EA says it cannot transfer a reward claimed on the wrong account or platform. Its missing-content guidance also recommends checking the Drop, account, and platform before seeking help.
You linked the wrong EA Account
Stop before watching or claiming. Check which EA Account contains your Apex progress, then manage the Twitch connection from that account’s Connected Accounts settings. Do not unlink the gaming-platform account unless you have confirmed that platform is attached to the wrong EA Account; review any relinking warning before confirming. If you cannot identify the right account or cannot change the connection, contact EA Support. A Drop already claimed on the wrong account cannot be moved.
There is no Unlink button
Check that you are signed in to the EA Account that owns the connection. A restriction, changed interface, or account status such as disabled, banned, or suspended can affect whether unlinking is available. EA’s unlinking guidance directs users to support or account recovery where the normal control cannot be used.
