When did Winter’s Haunt 2024 run?
The Season 23 event ran from December 17, 2024, through January 7, 2025, according to the Apex Legends Wiki. EA published its official announcement on December 12, 2024; its announcement text did not specify the event’s start and end dates.

How Winter Express worked
Winter Express returned as a three-squad mode centered on capturing a train. A round could be won by capturing the train or eliminating all opposing squads. The countdown began when the train stopped at a station, and EA said all weapons and all Legends were available.
How the event rewards worked
Daily challenges and Ice Gems
Daily event challenges awarded Ice Gems, which players could spend in the Winter’s Haunt Reward Shop. The shop’s offerings rotated halfway through the event. EA described the route this way: “Complete daily event challenges to earn Ice Gems, then head over to the Winter’s Haunt Reward Shop to choose your own reward adventure and check out your progress with event badges.”

Milestone collection
The event included 30 limited-time cosmetics. EA also listed milestone bonuses that included Apex Packs and 150 Heirloom Shards. These were event-specific rewards, not player-count or participation statistics.
Direct purchase during the event
EA said all six frosty Legend designs could be purchased directly from the in-game Shop until the event ended. This describes the 2024–25 event; it does not establish that those offers or cosmetics are available now.

Winter’s Bane for Bloodhound
Bloodhound’s Winter’s Bane Heirloom was one of the event’s headline items. EA said unlocking it also granted the matching Mythic Banner Frame and Finisher.
Attunement for Hemlok
The reactive Hemlok skin Attunement was another featured item.

Each event pack contained one event item and two standard items. EA said event items did not duplicate within the packs. These are the pack rules announced for Winter’s Haunt, not a statement about current pack availability.

The official trailer listed PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC through the EA App, Epic Games Store, and Steam. A controller was optional setup equipment, not an event requirement or reward.
