Ara: History Untold’s confirmed Deluxe Edition includes the base game, five additional leaders and five modern leader skins. Xbox’s published listings do not establish a currently available Premium Edition or a definitive list of its contents, so the two editions cannot be reliably compared.
What does Ara: History Untold Deluxe Edition include?
Xbox Game Studios’ September 24, 2024 launch announcement says the Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with two additional content sets: the Exclusive Leader Collection and the Modern Leader Skin Set. The five leaders in the collection are described as not included in the base game. Xbox Wire’s launch announcement lists the contents as follows:
- Exclusive Leader Collection: Charlemagne, Genghis Khan, Yoo Gwan Soon, Hildegard and Boudicca.
- Modern Leader Skin Set: alternate modern skins for Elizabeth I, Genghis Khan, Nefertiti, Sappho and George Washington.
Genghis Khan appears in both lists: the collection adds him as a leader, while the skin set provides a modern appearance for him. The announcement does not describe the skins as additional leaders.
How does the Deluxe Upgrade differ?
There is also a separate Deluxe Upgrade Edition for people who already own the game. The Xbox Store listing names the Exclusive Leader Collection and Modern Leader Skin Set, and says the content requires the game, sold separately. In other words, the upgrade supplies the Deluxe extras, not a new base-game entitlement.

Does Ara: History Untold have a Premium Edition?
The official Xbox sources reviewed confirm the Deluxe Edition and later an Anniversary Edition, but do not establish a currently available Ara: History Untold Premium Edition or a definitive Premium contents list. A regional Xbox Store listing for the Gilded Leader Skin Set says it was received with preorder of the Standard, Deluxe or Premium Edition. That wording refers to a preorder bonus; on its own, it does not confirm a present-day Premium product or explain everything such an edition contained.
Accordingly, the Deluxe extras can be stated precisely, but a Deluxe-versus-Premium contents comparison is not supported by the official listings reviewed. Do not treat content from another game’s Premium Edition as evidence of Ara’s contents.
Are later DLC and the digital art book part of the original Deluxe Edition?
No. Xbox Wire’s June 18, 2025 announcement describes version 1.4 and the first DLC, Untold Scenarios, as later releases for Xbox PC and Steam. It calls the DLC a companion to the game and separately restates the Deluxe bundle contents. The announcement does not identify Untold Scenarios as one of the original Deluxe extras.

The September 2024 launch announcement identified Windows PC and Steam, with day-one PC Game Pass access.
