What augmented slots are—and how to use them
An augmented slot is an extra inventory space restricted to a particular item category. It does not replace or expand the ordinary backpack grid, and it is separate from Quick Use slots. For example, Looting Mk.2’s three Trinket slots are for Trinkets; they are not three flexible cells for moving any item into.
If an item does not fit the slot’s category, it cannot be used there. Check the slot label and the item category in your inventory rather than treating every augment slot as additional general storage.

A community-maintained item reference, checked for this article on October 4, 2026, lists the following Looting Mk.2 specifications. These are a dated reference snapshot, not an official guarantee that the live game still has the same values.

Looting Mk.2 vs. Combat Mk.2 and Tactical Mk.2
A cited gaming guide’s Mk.2 comparison shows that the augments trade different inventory features against one another. The figures below are guide-listed values rather than officially verified live-game stats, so confirm them in-game after updates.

When Looting Mk.2 fits
Its listed profile favors carrying capacity and Trinkets: it has the largest backpack count in this comparison and two Safe Pockets. It is a plausible fit when those inventory features match your raid plan, but slot counts alone do not establish that it will produce better raid results.
When Combat Mk.2 fits
Combat Mk.2 trades away backpack and Safe Pocket capacity in the cited guide for a Grenade slot and broader shield compatibility, including Heavy Shields. That profile may suit a player prioritizing those features over Looting Mk.2’s larger listed storage.

When Tactical Mk.2 fits
Tactical Mk.2 has one Utility slot and five Quick Use slots in the comparison, the highest Quick Use count of these three. Its listed backpack count is lower than either alternative, so weigh ready-access utility against general carrying capacity.
How to choose an augment for a raid
Compare the features that affect your own loadout rather than picking by augmented-slot count alone:
- Backpack capacity: how much general inventory space you want.
- Safe Pockets: how many protected spaces the listed profile provides.
- Quick Use: how many items you want available in those slots.
- Augmented-slot category: whether you want Trinket, Grenade, or Utility storage.
- Shield compatibility: whether the augment supports the shield type you intend to equip.
- Raid role: whether your plan puts more weight on carrying, combat, or utility.
No cited player-population, win-rate, or comparative test data establishes one Mk.2 augment as objectively best. Treat the table as a set of listed inventory trade-offs, not a performance ranking.

Because community-maintained tables can lag live updates, confirm changing slot values and compatibility in-game after patches. The cited references do not establish a complete, officially sourced post-September 2026 augment table.
