Candleberries were a rare, seasonal ARC Raiders resource that spawned only during the Cold Snap map condition. During the Candleberry Banquet event, players gathered them from berry bushes and sometimes found them in wicker baskets or Raider caches. The event ran from December 16, 2025, to January 13, 2026, and is over; Candleberries have no currently listed project use.
Where Candleberries spawned
Candleberries were introduced in update 1.7.0 for the Cold Snap seasonal content. The in-game item description characterized them as a waxy berry that grows during a short window each year. Historical guides and the community item page agree that bushes appeared only in raids with the Cold Snap map condition active, not in ordinary raids. The ARC Raiders Wiki’s Candleberries page lists the item’s patch and spawn details.
Berry bushes in outdoor vegetation
Search outdoor nature and vegetation areas for shrubs bearing visible red berries. Bushes yielded only a small number at a time, and reported amounts differ: one guide describes roughly one berry per bush, while the item page gives a possible range of one to three. Treat yields as variable rather than planning around a guaranteed amount. All Things How’s Cold Snap guide recommends sweeping vegetation pockets rather than relying on a single spawn.
Dam Battlegrounds route suggestion
All Things How highlights the western vegetation area near South Swamp Outpost on Dam Battlegrounds as a useful place to search, with nearby vegetation pockets worth checking as you move through the area. This is a guide-recommended route, not an official or guaranteed spawn point; Candleberry spawns were randomized.

Wicker baskets and Raider caches
Historical guides also report Candleberries in wicker baskets and Raider caches during Cold Snap raids. Check these containers while moving between vegetation areas; they were an additional chance to find berries, not a substitute for the Cold Snap condition.
How players gathered them during the event
For the limited-time event, a practical approach was to enter a raid only when Cold Snap was active, search vegetation, and loot baskets or Raider caches along the way. Since spawns were random, a route could produce few berries or none. Cold Snap also introduced Frostbite, so the historical guide advised bringing healing and using shelter; check the current game’s mechanics before relying on that advice if the condition returns.
What the Candleberry Banquet used them for
The Candleberry Banquet was a five-stage project tied to the Flickering Flames progression track. Players donated Candleberries alongside other loot to advance the stages, which revealed scenes on the banquet table and granted rewards. Windows Central quoted Embark Studios’ description of the project as rewarding cosmetic items, Raider Tokens, and Merits, with Merits contributing to Flickering Flames progress. Windows Central’s Cold Snap update coverage gives the event dates and describes the project’s connection to the track.

These are the historical requirements reported for that event, not active donation goals. GameSpot also reported that the Gathering Candleberries reward track distributed 180 Candleberries as players gained XP and Merits; those rewards were part of the expired event and are no longer claimable through it. Are Candleberries still available or useful?
The published Candleberry Banquet window was December 16, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. CET through January 13, 2026, at 10:30 a.m. CET. The event has ended. The community-maintained item page, last modified April 4, 2026, lists no current project requiring Candleberries and says they can be recycled into two Assorted Seeds but cannot be salvaged. Check the in-game project listings for any later changes; the cited sources do not establish whether the event or item use will return.

How many players completed the banquet?
PC Gamer reported in January 2026 that about 1 million of ARC Raiders’ 12.4 million buyers completed the Candleberry Banquet—about 8.06%, or roughly 8%. PC Gamer attributed the figures to Embark’s release of Cold Snap statistics. This is a historical event completion figure, not a measure of current player participation.
