In early 2026, players reported finding piles of duplicated Familiar Ducks in ARC Raiders, with one player saying a single extraction netted 2.8 million Raider Coins. That was an anecdotal report—not a verified total or a typical haul. Embark subsequently confirmed fixes, investigated exploit use and described further anti-duplication work through September 2026.
What were the duplicated ducks worth?
AllThingsHow reported that a Familiar Duck was worth 7,000 Raider Coins. That is in-game currency, not real-world money. At that listed value, a pile of ducks could represent a large Coin balance, but the sources do not establish how many ducks were duplicated or the total value circulating in the game.
PC Gamer reported a player’s account of extracting with 2.8 million Raider Coins after finding a raider surrounded by Familiar Ducks. The player phrasing included “I extracted with 2.8 million. Still confused” and described finding “millions worth of familiar ducks.” This is one reported encounter, not an independently verified figure, a game-wide count or evidence of what players typically earned. PC Gamer’s January 30, 2026 report covered the claim.
What happened, and when?
| Date | What was reported or announced |
|---|---|
| January 20, 2026 | ARC Raiders Patch Notes 1.12.0 said, “Fixed an item duplication exploit,” and also noted an ammo duplication fix. Official patch notes. |
| January 30 and February 4, 2026 | PC Gamer and AllThingsHow reported player accounts and claims about Familiar Ducks and large Coin values. These were reports, not official measurements. AllThingsHow’s February 4 coverage. |
| February 17, 2026 | The ARC Raiders Team said it had completed an investigation and would take action according to severity, intent, frequency and impact. Actions could include warnings, removing Coins tied to exploits, and suspensions for severe cases. The team’s enforcement update. |
| July 14, 2026 | Official Store Update 1.37.0 described a further duplication fix and account enforcement. July update. |
| September 22, 2026 | Official Store Update 1.47.0 said Embark was seeing positive outcomes following ongoing improvements against item duplication. September update. |
How did Embark respond to exploit use?
In its February statement, the ARC Raiders Team said: “When we take action on player accounts, we do it based on what we can define, prove, and stand behind.” It described a graduated response: warnings, removal of exploit-linked Coins and, in severe cases, suspensions. The statement framed enforcement around the circumstances and impact of each case rather than announcing a single blanket penalty.

The January patch notes confirm that Embark fixed an item duplication exploit, as well as an ammo duplication exploit. Later July and September updates show that anti-duplication work continued. Together, these statements establish a sequence of fixes and enforcement—not a technical postmortem of the duck incident or proof that every possible duplication method was permanently eliminated.
Does the duck story mean duplication is still happening?
Not by itself. The duck reports date to early 2026, and the exact exploit described in those reports is not established as active on the current build. Embark’s July and September updates indicate further action and positive outcomes, but they do not certify that duplication has been eradicated. The available reports and official statements also do not establish the exploit’s prevalence, the total number of duplicated ducks or the total Coin impact.
