Black Ops 7’s Warzone weapon-camo progression has four tiers: nine Military camos, three Special camos, then four Mastery camos—Golden Damascus, Starglass, Absolute Zero, and Apocalypse. Military and Special challenges are weapon-specific, and Mastery objectives can also vary by weapon and tracker. Below is the full progression and examples from Activision’s published trackers; use the current in-game challenge tracker for exact Season 06 requirements for each weapon.
How Warzone camo progression works in Black Ops 7
Activision’s November 2025 progression guide describes the sequence for an individual weapon as nine Military camos, three Special camos, and then the four Mastery camos, unlocked one at a time. The first two tiers are earned on that weapon; Mastery challenges add cross-weapon prerequisites as you advance. Call of Duty’s BO7 progression guide gives the overall structure, while the official weapon trackers provide examples of individual objectives.

Military camo challenges: nine per weapon
Military objectives are not one universal checklist. Activision’s weapon trackers illustrate the difference: the Grimhawk’s listed Military progression uses elimination milestones ranging from 10 to 250, while the Katana’s uses critical-kill milestones from 5 to 100. Those are examples from the listed trackers, not a guaranteed description of every weapon or the current Season 06 roster.
- Grimhawk tracker (Season 04 page): elimination milestones.
- Katana tracker (Season 03 page): critical-kill milestones.
Check the individual weapon’s camo challenges in game to see its current objective and the next milestone. The examples show why completing challenges for one weapon does not establish the requirements for another.

Special camo challenges: three per weapon
After a weapon’s nine Military camos, its three Special camos each have their own challenge. Conditions can require a particular action, weapon state, or equipment choice. These official tracker examples are useful for understanding the range, but are not universal requirements:
| Weapon (tracker page) | Listed Special challenge examples |
|---|---|
| 1911 (Season 03) | Kills while moving; kills while aiming down sights; eliminations using a suppressor. |
| Strider 300 (Season 03) | Headshot kills; kills without taking damage; eliminations using a suppressor. |
Use the challenge text shown for your selected weapon rather than assuming a Special objective transfers to another gun.

Golden Damascus: the first Warzone Mastery camo
Golden Damascus follows the Special camos for the weapon being worked on. The objective examples in Activision’s trackers differ in repetition count: the 1911 and Strider 300 pages list getting three kills in a single match five times, while the Siren and Grimhawk pages list that objective twice. These are tracker examples, not a single universal count for every weapon.
- 1911 and Strider 300: three kills in one match, five times.
- Siren and Grimhawk: three kills in one match, twice.
“Three kills in a single match” is a match-based condition: the three kills must happen in the same match for each counted completion. Follow the live tracker for the required number of completions on your weapon.

- Developed by Treyarch and Raven, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is a spy action thriller set in the early 90s, a period of transition and upheaval in global politics, characterized by the end of the Cold War and the rise of the United States as a single superpower.
- This is signature Black Ops across a cinematic single-player Campaign, a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, and the epic return of Round-Based Zombies.
- The Black Ops 6 Campaign provides dynamic moment-to-moment gameplay that includes a variety of play spaces with blockbuster set pieces and action-packed moments, high-stakes heists, and cloak-and-dagger spy activity.
- In a best-in-class Multiplayer experience, players will test their skills across 16 new maps at launch, including 12 core 6v6 maps and 4 Strike maps that can be played 2v2 or 6v6.
- Black Ops 6 also marks the epic return of Round-Based Zombies, the fan-favorite mode where players will take down hordes of the undead in two brand-new maps at launch. Post-launch, players can look forward to even more exciting maps and groundbreaking experiences dropping into both Multiplayer and Zombies.
Starglass: earn it across a weapon type
The progression guide places Starglass after Golden Damascus and requires Golden Damascus on weapons in the same weapon type, followed by getting five kills without dying five times. The number of prerequisite weapons depends on the category in the published examples: the Katana tracker calls for Golden Damascus on two melee weapons, while the Strider 300 tracker calls for it on three sniper rifles. Check the current weapon tracker for its exact category prerequisite and objective.
Absolute Zero: a placement-based challenge
Activision’s launch progression guide describes Absolute Zero as requiring Starglass, Starglass on 30 weapons, and then ten eliminations while in the Top 10. Some later official tracker text varies in the stated objective count, so do not treat that launch-guide count as a guaranteed Season 06 requirement for every weapon. Confirm both the weapon prerequisites and the placement objective in the current in-game tracker.

Apocalypse: the final Mastery camo
In the progression described by Activision’s launch guide, Apocalypse is the final Warzone Mastery camo and requires Absolute Zero on 30 weapons. That is a cross-weapon unlock, not simply another challenge on one gun. Since the detailed tracker examples available for individual weapons are from earlier seasons, use the current in-game tracker to verify the live requirement.

Activision’s official Black Ops 7 site reports that Season 06 launched on September 17, 2026, with a new Black Ops 7 Camo Event. The individual tracker examples linked above are Season 03 or Season 04 pages; they illustrate how challenges can differ, but do not establish a complete Season 06 list or confirm that every older objective remains unchanged.

Do not use an older weapon page as a substitute for the live tracker when a challenge count or prerequisite matters. Activision’s official progression guide establishes the four Mastery names and broad order; the available weapon pages show meaningful variation, not a complete current weapon-by-weapon checklist.
