ARC Raiders Expeditions are optional, scheduled departures that reset some progression while preserving other rewards. The fourth Expedition’s damage challenge awarded mystery rewards at five thresholds, but it marked the end of Patchwork progression: Embark said the full outfit was complete by then, with Zenith beginning next. Trials follow their own schedule, not the Expedition reset; Embark announced a pause through October 8, 2026, but that date alone does not confirm Trials resumed.
What happens when you go on an Expedition?
An Expedition is an opt-in progression departure. You can contribute to the Caravan outside the departure window, but completing it requires signing up during the scheduled window. Embark’s rules have changed between Expeditions, so dates, last-call options, and reset choices are specific to each departure.
For the fourth Expedition, Embark scheduled sign-up from July 7, 2026, at 11:00 UTC through July 21 at 08:00 UTC. Players who signed up departed automatically when the window ended, and a last-call feature was available. Those dates have passed; they are not an open sign-up period. The fifth Expedition used a different arrangement: a three-week window, September 8–29, 2026, no last call, and an option to retain quest progress instead of resetting it. These fifth-Expedition details are not universal rules for every future departure. Embark’s fifth-Expedition announcement describes the changes.

What resets, and what stays?
Expeditions distinguish between progression that is reset and rewards or account records that persist. The exact package depends on which Expedition you join. Embark’s second-Expedition explanation said Trials, Raider Deck progress, map regions, leaderboard position, Codex entries, and Raider Tokens would not be affected by that Expedition. Cosmetics and other earned bonuses were permanent, while certain consecutive-departure boosts depended on continuing to depart in sequence. The second-Expedition announcement gives those examples.
For the fifth Expedition, Embark added the option to retain quest progress rather than reset it. On the fourth, by contrast, blueprints earned through the damage challenge reset upon a later Expedition departure, while Raider Tokens were permanent. Check the announcement for the specific departure rather than assuming every progression category behaves the same way.
What were the fourth Expedition’s damage rewards?
During the fourth Expedition departure window, Embark awarded a mystery reward for each damage threshold reached. The thresholds and rewards were:

These 2026 thresholds and reward rules were published by Embark for the fourth Expedition only. The rewards were drawn from a pool of potential blueprints; duplicate protection applied to blueprints earned from this damage challenge, but not to blueprints carried over in Ermal’s Vault. Each completed departure objective also granted 150 Raider Tokens. The blueprints reset on a later departure, whereas Raider Tokens remained permanent. How do I get the Patchwork skin?
Patchwork was earned through successive Expedition progression, not introduced as the latest reward in the fourth Expedition. The second Expedition added outfit toggles and color options for players departing for a second time, alongside a Scrappy outfit. The third Expedition expanded the Patchwork look with helmet, bandolier, and leg-accessory toggles plus White Red and Black Green color variations; completing that third departure unlocked the full Patchwork outfit.

By the fourth Expedition, Embark described Patchwork as complete. That departure began the next cosmetic progression, Zenith, and the fifth Expedition’s reward was described as the complete Zenith Outfit. So if you are looking for the fourth Expedition’s new cosmetic, it was a Zenith step—not another Patchwork unlock. No: Embark’s second-Expedition announcement said Trials progress would not be affected by an Expedition. Trials and Expeditions are connected by scheduling, not by the Expedition reset itself. That earlier statement addresses the reset relationship; it does not establish the dates or current availability of later Trials seasons.

When do ARC Raiders Trials start again?
In its fifth-Expedition announcement, Embark said the then-current Trials season would end September 22, 2026, followed by a two-week pause until October 8. As of October 7, 2026, October 8 was an announced return date, not a verified post-return status. Check the game or a newer official announcement for confirmation of availability after that date. Embark’s fifth-Expedition announcement is the source for the schedule.
Are Expeditions coming back in 2027?
Embark announced that the fifth Expedition would be the last before a pause, with Expeditions expected to return in early 2027 after major improvements. The team cited concerns about tight departure windows, the reward structure, and accessibility for new players. This is a stated plan, not a confirmed launch date. Embark also said consecutive buffs already earned would persist during the pause. The announcement outlines the planned hiatus and rationale.
