For “Greasing Her Palms,” you must scope out the rocket thrusters outside Rocket Assembly on Spaceport. The scan is an automatic proximity trigger: stand beside the correct exterior thruster—preferably the southwestern unit near Control Tower A6—and wait several seconds for the objective to update.
Where to find the rocket thrusters
Deploy to Spaceport and travel to the area between Rocket Assembly, Control Tower A6, and the Launch Towers. Outside Rocket Assembly, look for two large cylindrical rocket thrusters mounted on trailers.

The most reliable target is the southwestern thruster—the one farther from the Rocket Assembly building and closer to Control Tower A6. Move to its southwestern side, near the shallow crater at the base.

How to trigger the scan
- Make sure Greasing Her Palms is active or tracked.
- Reach the two trailer-mounted thrusters outside Rocket Assembly.
- Go to the southwestern side of the farther thruster, close to its base and shallow crater.
- Stop moving and wait for several seconds.
- Watch for the quest objective or checklist to update on-screen.
You do not need to enter Rocket Assembly, loot an item, press an interaction button, activate a terminal, or enter any command. The trigger is tied to a small proximity zone rather than a usable object. The scan has registered only when the objective visibly updates.
If the objective does not update
Move closer and approach the correct side
The trigger zone is narrow. Stand very close to the southwestern thruster, then step toward the shallow crater and pause again. If that fails, walk a few paces along the thruster’s side and stop at several points. Trailers, railings, gantries, and smoke can also block your view, so reposition until the thruster is clearly visible.

Check that you are outside Rocket Assembly
Indoor machinery is not the target. Spaceport also contains other rocket hardware and objects that resemble thrusters, but the quest is linked to the fixed exterior pair near Control Tower A6—not the inventory item named Rocket Thruster. Crossing the trigger area without stopping may not activate the check. Pause beside the correct unit long enough for the proximity test to fire.

Reactivate the quest
Return to Speranza, reopen the task or quest list, set Greasing Her Palms as the active objective, redeploy to Spaceport, and try again. The available troubleshooting guidance does not establish a more specific current menu path or button label.
Try a fresh raid or solo run
If the correct exterior thruster still fails to register, extract and attempt the objective early in a new deployment. A solo run can help identify whether squad state is interfering with the trigger.
Account for squad progress
Player reports suggest the quest owner may need to perform the scan. If progress does not synchronize, have each teammate stand at the correct thruster and trigger it individually. This is a community workaround, not an officially documented requirement.
Night Raid is not confirmed to block the objective; community reports include successful completions during night raids.

Patch status
As of August 8, 2026, Embark’s official news index listed Live Update 1.39.0, dated July 28, 2026, as the latest patch-notes entry, alongside Store Update 1.40.0 from August 4. No listed official update specifically changes the Greasing Her Palms Spaceport thruster trigger. The June 16 update addressed rare cases where quest objectives activated out of order, while the July 7 update addressed Quests-tab navigation; neither note specifically confirms a fix for this scan.
