To complete Tian Wen’s “What We Left Behind” quest in ARC Raiders, search two containers beneath the Parking Garage in Buried City, inspect documents at South Swamp Outpost on Dam Battlegrounds, and interact with notes at Bilguun’s Hideout on Spaceport. Then extract and speak to Tian Wen in Speranza. The route below follows those objective interactions; none of the quest steps require extracting items, according to GameSpot’s Jan. 7, 2026 guide.
Buried City: search two containers beneath the Parking Garage
Head to the Parking Garage and use the quest marker and landmark to orient yourself. Guides describe its position differently: GameSpot places it in the northwest, while PC Gamer describes it near Marano Park toward the centre of its map description. The landmark is a more reliable cue than those differing directions.
- On the first floor, find the door marked “01” and breach it.
- Take the zipline down to the Raider Camp.
- Search any two containers in the room. PC Gamer points out a long Raider case and a bag behind corrugated metal near the makeshift habitation.
Other raiders may be looting the garage, so check the area before breaching. GameSpot and PC Gamer both describe the route and container objective; the exact container examples above are from PC Gamer.
Dam Battlegrounds: inspect the papers at South Swamp Outpost
Travel to South Swamp Outpost on the west side of Dam Battlegrounds, west of Water Treatment Control. The objective may say to “search for anything significant” there; the concrete interaction is with the papers on a table.

- Enter the main cylindrical building and go into its large round room.
- Find the stack of papers or documents on the table and interact with them.
GameSpot describes this as a low-traffic area, but hostile raiders can still be a threat. See the route details from GameSpot and PC Gamer.
Spaceport: interact with the notes at Bilguun’s Hideout
Go to Container Storage and look for the large wall immediately east of it. Bilguun’s Hideout is at the top of the wall.

- Climb up using a broken section of the wall to the north or south, as PC Gamer describes, or use the yellow ladder shown in GameSpot’s route.
- Enter the metal hideout.
- Interact with the notes inside. GameSpot places them on the left side; PC Gamer describes them as yellow-marked.
Guides differ on how this objective has been described. GameSpot and PC Gamer direct players to interact with notes or documents, while Destructoid’s older guide describes picking up high-tier loot and reports that the author’s objective did not register. Follow the note interaction; the older account is not evidence of a confirmed, widespread current bug.

After completing the Spaceport objective, extract and speak with Tian Wen in Speranza to wrap up the quest. GameSpot says the objectives do not require extracting items, so a free loadout is an option if you want to avoid risking valuable gear. Treat that as guide advice, not a guarantee about every current game state.

If the Spaceport objective does not register, first make sure you interacted with the notes rather than relying on a high-tier loot pickup. Destructoid’s report that extracting and revisiting fixed the issue applies to one author’s attempt; it does not establish a current widespread problem.
