Industrial Batteries are Rare, Recyclable loot in ARC Raiders. The currently verified locations are on Dam Battlegrounds: the Hydroponic Dome Complex, shelves and carts in the Power Generation Complex, and Car Hoods. Keep 3 Industrial Batteries if you are upgrading the Gear Bench from level 2 to level 3; recycling or salvaging them before that upgrade can leave you short.
Where to find Industrial Batteries
The current item data lists three sources on Dam Battlegrounds:

These are verified source locations, not guaranteed spawn points. The available data does not establish a fixed quantity, guaranteed battery, or single container that will always contain one. Search the named areas and vehicle hoods, but treat each run’s results as variable.
There is no verified evidence that Night Raid, Cold Snap, or Electromagnetic Storm conditions increase Industrial Battery drop rates. Likewise, community percentages describing battery spawns by map or container type should not be treated as official spawn rules.

What Industrial Batteries recycle into
The current recycling output is:
- 7 Chemicals
- 2 Batteries
Do not confuse this material output with a coin payout. The Industrial Battery has a listed vendor value of 1,000; recycling produces materials rather than directly paying 850 Raider Coins.
A separate item database values the component materials at 850 in total: two Batteries at 250 each and seven Chemicals at 50 each. That is a calculated component value, not a verified recycling payment. Details are available in the MetaForge Industrial Battery database entry.
Recycling versus salvaging
In-raid salvaging currently provides only 2 Batteries. It does not provide the listed seven Chemicals. Recycling is therefore the option that yields both material types, while salvaging is limited to the Battery output.
The available sources do not verify the exact live-client labels or menu paths for recycling or salvaging. Use the relevant in-game interaction when available rather than relying on an unverified sequence of menu names.
Gear Bench 3 requirement
Industrial Batteries are required for the Gear Bench level 2 to level 3 upgrade. The verified requirement is:

Keep at least 3 Industrial Batteries until the Gear Bench 3 upgrade is complete. Because the item stacks to three, a full stack covers the verified requirement exactly.

If you recycle or salvage even one of those three batteries first, you may no longer have enough for the upgrade. The current data does not show a way to turn the resulting materials back into an Industrial Battery, so spending them early can delay Gear Bench progression.

The most recently dated current item-page information, last modified April 4, 2026, says that no current Projects require Industrial Batteries. That means the verified minimum reserve is three batteries for Gear Bench 3, not four.
One older or conflicting database still lists one Industrial Battery for Decorations (2/5), Phase 3, alongside Candle Holders, Light Bulbs, and Candleberries. Because that listing conflicts with the newer item-page data, treat it as stale or unverified for the current live game. Check your own active Projects in-game if a future update changes the requirement.

- Search Dam Battlegrounds. Prioritize the Hydroponic Dome Complex, Power Generation Complex shelves and carts, and Car Hoods.
- Extract with every battery you find. Do not assume a named location guarantees one.
- Reserve three. Store them for the Gear Bench 2 to 3 upgrade.
- Check active Projects before spending extras. Current item data lists no Project requirement, but live-game requirements can change.
- Recycle or salvage only surplus batteries. Recycling gives 7 Chemicals and 2 Batteries; salvaging gives 2 Batteries.
Bottom line
For the current data, farm Industrial Batteries on Dam Battlegrounds, especially at the Hydroponic Dome Complex, Power Generation Complex shelves and carts, and Car Hoods. Save three for Gear Bench 3, which also needs five Advanced Electrical Components and six Bastion Cells. Recycle only batteries beyond that reserve, and remember that salvaging yields two Batteries without the seven Chemicals.
