ARC Raiders Loot Cheat Sheet: What to Keep, Sell, or Recycle

Keep items tied to your active quests, upgrades, projects, and crafting. For everything else, compare its stash space, sale value, and recycling yield before deciding.

There is no fixed number of each item every ARC Raiders player should keep. Hold what you need for active quests, workshop upgrades, projects, and planned crafting; sell or recycle surplus only after checking its uses, stack size, sale value, and recycling yield. A useful loot cheat sheet is item-specific, not a quota.

How to decide what to keep

Before selling or recycling an item, check its listed uses against your current goals. If it is required for a quest, workshop upgrade, project, or recipe you have not completed, keep it until that need is met. Items with several current progression uses deserve extra caution: the loot reference, for example, lists Advanced Electrical Components for Gear Bench 3, Utility Station 3, Ascending The Mountain, and Expedition requirements; ARC Alloy appears in multiple workshop, quest, and Expedition requirements. These examples do not establish a universal quantity to keep. ARC Raiders Wiki’s item reference lists uses item by item.

Keep

  • Items required by active quests, workshop upgrades, projects, or crafting you intend to do.
  • Items that are difficult to replace or serve several of your current goals, if you can spare the stash space.

Use workshop tracking for items you still need. It helps you distinguish purposeful stock from surplus rather than relying on a blanket “keep one stack” rule.

Sell

Sell items whose listed uses do not serve your current plans when the currency is more valuable to you than retaining crafting flexibility. The beginner guidance recommends that early players sell more loot to afford additional stash slots, then prioritize materials as crafting becomes relevant. Trinkets are described as useful for selling or display, not for other requirements. Check each item’s uses and sale price before treating it as disposable. The Getting Started guide covers early stash and loot decisions.

Recycle

Recycle surplus when its returned components help with a current craft or upgrade. Compare the listed recycling output with the item’s sale value, and check its progression uses first: breaking down an input you later need can leave you short. Recycling location also matters. A reviewed community reference says recycling in Speranza returns the full components, while recycling during a raid returns half; it says salvaging can be done Topside but yields fewer or lower-quality items. See ARC Raiders Hub’s loot reference for that location distinction.

How much should you keep?

Choose quantities around your next goals, not a universal stash count. For each item, ask what you still need it for, how soon you expect to use it, and whether you can reliably replace it. Then account for the space it consumes: the beginner guide contrasts 50 Metal Parts with three toasters per stash space. Those are stack-efficiency examples, not recommendations to keep either amount.

  • Progression: Is the item required for a quest, bench upgrade, project, or recipe you still need?
  • Replaceability: Does the item reference establish a dependable supply, or is it difficult to find? The available reference gives item requirements and categories, not a universal scarcity score.
  • Stack efficiency: How many units fit in one slot? Low-stack items take up space faster than high-stack materials.
  • Immediate value: What does the item sell for?
  • Material value: What does recycling return, and are those components useful now?
  • Timing: Can recycling wait until Speranza for the higher yield described by the reviewed reference?

Make room without creating a bottleneck

Stash space has an opportunity cost. Consolidate quantities by stack size and avoid keeping long-term stock of basics you can make in the workshop or buy from traders. Check trader stock before relying on replenishment, since it may be limited. When an item has no current use for you, compare the space it occupies with the currency from selling it and the materials from recycling it; do not let a nominally useful item crowd out something you need sooner.

Recheck loot data after updates

ARC Raiders loot requirements and values can change. HowToPlayHub’s guide says it was updated September 11, 2026, verified for Update 1.36.0, and current through Patch 1.44.0; it also warns that loot data is patch-sensitive. The ARC Raiders Wiki main page listed Frozen Trail content highlights for October 8, 2026. Because that date is later than the guide’s stated currentness, check current item uses and requirements in-game or in an updated item reference before making a large sell or recycle decision.
