ARC Raiders’ North Line update launched on November 13, 2025, with Breaking New Ground, a cooperative community event that unlocked the Stella Montis map. Players who had completed at least five rounds donated five kinds of materials to restore a tunnel in Speranza; finishing the restoration opened the map and started a second progression phase.
How Breaking New Ground unlocked Stella Montis
Breaking New Ground began with players contributing materials to a shared tunnel-restoration project in Speranza. The event was open to players who had completed at least five rounds. Its five requested resources were:
- Metal Parts
- Fabric
- Chemicals
- Rubber Parts
- Plastic Parts
Donations earned Merits, the currency used in the event’s next progression phase. Merits from donations were capped, but extra contributions still advanced the community effort and helped Speranza reach Stella Montis sooner. When the tunnel restoration was complete, Stella Montis unlocked and Phase II, “Staking Our Claim,” began as a limited-time progression track with personal rewards and challenges. What else came with North Line
The update added two ARC enemies with different encounter roles. The Matriarch could appear under a specific map condition, while the Shredder first appeared in Stella Montis and was designed for close-quarters encounters. Embark also listed a new legendary weapon, three mines, two grenades, and quests for Stella Montis in its North Line announcement.

Why “arrives today” is now historical
The headline’s “today” referred to November 13, 2025, the day Breaking New Ground began. Embark announced North Line on November 12, 2025; TechRadar published its same-day account of the event on November 13. The update should not be confused with Frozen Trail: Embark announced that separate update on August 12, 2026, for October 8, 2026, and described it as its biggest since launch. Frozen Trail previewed a new map, a high-level ARC Operation, new ARC threats, an Outpost, and progression changes. TechRadar’s November 13, 2025 article is the source of the original “arrives today” framing; Embark’s Frozen Trail announcement concerns the distinct 2026 update.
