Oil is an uncommon Topside Material found in Mechanical loot areas in ARC Raiders. The item reference also lists it as a reward for the Power Out quest, an item sold by Celeste, and a material obtainable by recycling certain items. Oil is used to craft Explosive Compound, Blaze Grenades, and the Renegade I; it can also be recycled for Chemicals. For current sources and recipes, check the in-game Acquire Resources and crafting screens, since game data and trader offers can change.
Where to find Oil
The ARC Raiders Wiki categorizes Oil’s loot area as Mechanical. That describes a broad type of loot area, not a guaranteed container or exact spawn point. Its item page was accessed October 7, 2026: Oil on The ARC Raiders Wiki.
A GameWith guide updated August 4, 2026 recommends Robot Testing Annex and Cargo Dock on Stella Montis as places to look. Treat these as reported farming suggestions, not confirmed spawns or proven best routes: the guide is dated, and GameWith says it stopped updating on September 1, 2026. The official site announced that the Frozen Trail update would arrive October 8, 2026, after that guide’s last update. Check current in-game information for changes.
Neither source establishes Oil drop rates, guaranteed spawns, or comparative run efficiency. The locations are useful leads, but there is no evidence here that either is the fastest way to farm Oil.

The item reference lists Oil as a reward for Power Out. Check the quest details in game to confirm the current reward.
Check Celeste’s trader offer
The item reference accessed October 7, 2026 lists Celeste selling Oil for 6 Assorted Seeds, with a level 7 requirement and a limit of 10 per day. These are reference-listed terms, not a guarantee of a live offer; verify Celeste’s current inventory and requirements in game.
Recycle other items
The item reference lists these items as possible sources of Oil when recycled: Turbo Pump, Blaze Grenade, Coolant, Motor, Polluted Air Filter, Water Pump, Explosive Mine, Heavy Fuze Grenade, and Synthesized Fuel. The yield varies by input, so check the live interface before committing an item.
Use Acquire Resources to check current options
When you are missing a crafting material, the in-game Acquire Resources interface can show currently available ways to get it, including recycling or buying from Celeste. The official ARC Raiders crafting-interface explanation describes this feature. Open the relevant recipe and use Acquire Resources to see what is available in your game.

Recycle Oil or keep it for crafting?
At Speranza, recycling one Oil yields 3 Chemicals according to the item reference. Salvaging Oil in a raid yields 1 Chemical. Recycling therefore gives a higher listed Chemical yield, while in-raid salvage is the option when you need to convert it during a run.
Before converting Oil, consider whether you need it for one of the listed recipes or have a specific crafting goal. Its reference-listed item details are 0.25 kg weight, a stack size of 15, and a value of 300 coins; these are game-reference values, not drop-rate or farming-efficiency data.
