ARC Raiders released on PS5 on October 30, 2025. It is a paid, online-only multiplayer extraction game—not a free-to-play title and not an offline single-player game. In the U.S., the Standard Edition is currently listed at $39.99; online play requires a PlayStation account and PS Plus Essential.
ARC Raiders PS5 release date
ARC Raiders launched for PlayStation 5 on October 30, 2025. It is available on both the standard PS5 and PS5 Pro, but there is no PS4 version. The official PlayStation product page lists the release date as October 30, 2025.
How much does ARC Raiders cost on PS5?
As listed on the U.S. PlayStation product page, the Standard Edition costs $39.99. It contains the base game only.
The Deluxe Edition is listed at $59.99 and includes the base game, The Wanderer Set, a character cosmetic, the Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, the Scrappy Body Type and Outfit, and 2,400 Raider Tokens. A previously advertised $29.99 Standard Edition offer and 25%-off Deluxe Edition offer were time-limited promotions that ended on July 2, 2026, so they should not be treated as current prices.

On the PlayStation Store, choose “Standard Edition” or “Deluxe Edition”, then select “Add to Cart.” The listing also identifies the game as “PS5 Standard Edition” and “PS5 Pro Enhanced.” Check the store page at purchase time for any new regional pricing or promotion.

What you need to play ARC Raiders on PS5
- A PS5: ARC Raiders is not available on PS4.
- A PlayStation account: Online features are subject to PlayStation’s terms and privacy policy.
- Internet access: The game requires online play and cannot be played offline.
- PS Plus Essential: A PlayStation Plus Essential membership is required for online multiplayer.
PS Plus Essential is the relevant requirement for ordinary online play. If you want to use cloud streaming on PS5 or PS Portal, PlayStation lists PS Plus Premium as required; Premium is a separate cloud-streaming requirement, not a replacement for the game’s online nature.

Can you play ARC Raiders solo?
Yes, but “solo” means entering the online game as one Raider. It does not mean an offline mode or a standalone single-player campaign. ARC Raiders is online multiplayer-only, and teams can contain two or three Raiders. The PlayStation listing supports up to 21 online players with PS Plus.
Solo players still enter the shared online environment, where they may encounter ARC machines and other Raiders. You must remain connected and extract successfully to bring your run’s rewards back to safety.

How ARC Raiders works
You begin in the underground settlement of Speranza. From there, you prepare for a trip Topside, the surface where you search for resources, complete objectives, and decide how much danger to accept.
- Prepare in Speranza. Upgrade, craft, repair gear and weapons, meet traders, unlock Codex entries, and take on Trials.
- Enter Topside. Search the surface for useful resources and equipment.
- Manage threats. ARC machines and other Raiders can make every encounter dangerous. You can choose when to avoid a fight and when to engage.
- Extract safely. Reaching extraction is essential. A successful run lets you return with what you collected; a failed run puts the outcome of the expedition at risk.
- Improve your next run. Use what you bring back to craft, repair, upgrade, and prepare for another expedition.
The central decision is risk versus reward: searching longer can produce more valuable resources, but staying Topside also gives machines and rival players more opportunities to stop you.

PS5 Pro received an upgraded PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaling implementation in update 1.26, released April 28, 2026. Base PS5 models continue to use TSR upscaling; that update did not change the base-PS5 upscaling method.

Console sharing
PlayStation states that ARC Raiders can be downloaded and played on the purchaser’s main PS5 using Console Sharing and Offline Play. It can also be played on another PS5 when the purchaser signs in with the same account. This sharing provision does not make ARC Raiders playable offline: an internet connection and the game’s online requirements still apply.
What not to follow
Older guides may describe ARC Raiders as free-to-play, say that it is still “coming to PS5,” quote a $29.99 current price, or direct players to the Server Slam. Those claims are outdated or incorrect for the released PS5 version.
The Server Slam was a pre-release event held October 17–19, 2025, and its progress did not carry over to launch. Current players do not need to download or join it.
