Players in a clip described by Insider Gaming on January 17, 2026 retaliate against users of an ARC Raiders ceiling exploit by chasing them in the rafters of Stella Montis. That is player-versus-player retaliation—not official enforcement, and not a confirmed safe way to counter the exploit.
What happened in the Stella Montis clip?
Insider Gaming reported that concerns about cheating had risen over the festive period and described a ceiling glitch as one of the remaining problems. The report credited a social-media clip to player “aimkey.” In it, a trio enters the rafters of Stella Montis and pursues another trio that had reached the area using the glitch.
In this account, “ceiling glitch” means manipulating access above the map to gain an elevated position and shoot players below. The report does not establish the technical method, and its clip was not independently verified here; there is no basis to explain how to reproduce the exploit.
How are players fighting back?
The players in the reported clip appear to use the same exploit area to chase other exploit users. Insider Gaming framed this as “fighting fire with fire” and called it two wrongs. It is a description of retaliation, not evidence that players broadly support the tactic or that it restores fair play.

Nothing in the report establishes this as a reliable countermeasure. It also does not show that Embark endorsed players enforcing rules themselves.
Has Embark fixed the ARC Raiders ceiling glitch?
The available official statements do not confirm that this specific player-access exploit has been fixed, or that it remains reproducible. Embark’s September 30, 2026 anti-cheat update describes ongoing work to detect and block cheats, close exploited pathways, and make cheating harder and less worthwhile, but it does not name the Stella Montis ceiling exploit.

- Mechanical Switch Button Tensioning: A metal spring tensioning system and metal pivot hinges are built into left and right computer gaming mouse buttons for a crisp, clean click feel with rapid click feedback
In that update, executive producer Aleksander Grøndal wrote, “Cheating undermines what makes ARC Raiders challenging and fun, and disrupts the experience for everyone playing fairly.” He also said the anti-cheat team is working to detect and block new cheats and close the pathways they exploit. Those are broader commitments, not a specific fix announcement for this glitch.
How does the official teaming policy apply?
Grøndal’s update distinguishes pre-raid queue teaming from cooperation with someone met during a raid. Embark describes queue teaming as coordinating before a raid to enter the same solo lobby and attack players who queued alone. The post says, “Teaming up with someone you meet during a raid through proximity chat is still fair game.”

- Advanced LIGHTSPEED wireless gaming mouse for super-fast 1 ms response time and faster than wired performance

That policy distinction is separate from the ceiling-glitch report. It does not establish whether using the exploit, pursuing another exploit user, or any particular incident involving the rafters carries a specific sanction.
What has Embark said about anti-cheat and exploits?
Anti-cheat systems
In its May 7, 2026 “Ensuring Fair Play” post, Embark described an anti-cheat stack combining Easy Anti-Cheat kernel-level protection, machine-learning detection using player telemetry, and additional undisclosed layers. The studio also said it was testing a new kernel-level solution. This is Embark’s account as of that post, not independent validation or a complete current inventory of the game’s protections.

Separate exploit incidents
In a February 2026 statement about other exploits, Embark said some paths stemmed from design flaws and that it acted based on evidence and impact, including suspensions in severe cases. That context does not establish what consequences, if any, apply to users of the Stella Montis ceiling exploit.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Do not confuse it with the Hidden Bunker Shredder bug
A separate official live-update note mentions Shredders floating to ceilings in some Hidden Bunker rooms. That is an NPC behavior, not evidence of the player-access map exploit reported at Stella Montis. The two issues should not be treated as the same glitch.
