To fight the Queen in ARC Raiders, look for an active Harvester event or map condition, then plan around three things: breaking the Queen’s attack line of sight, focusing one leg joint before firing into its exposed core, and securing an exit before other Raiders arrive. The Queen is not the Matriarch, and neither the event nor its loot makes the encounter safe from PvP.
Where to find the Queen
Community guides associate the Queen with the Harvester event or map condition. Check the active lobby condition before committing to a run. Community references name Dam Battlegrounds, Spaceport, and Blue Gate, but they do not establish a reliable live rotation or current coordinates for every map. Treat those maps as reported locations, not a schedule.
Once the event is active, move toward the Harvester and use the Queen’s silhouette and mortar sounds as clues, as suggested by AllThingsHow’s guide, updated November 6, 2025. On Dam Battlegrounds, that guide recommends the Power Gen Complex for sightlines and cover, including rooftop or stair-landing positions. Those positions are map-specific advice, not guaranteed safe spots: check current geometry and watch for both ARC threats and player approaches. Open ground leaves you exposed to both.
How to survive the Queen’s attacks
The community wiki describes mortar fire, a laser beam, a ground slam, and an EMP pulse. It reports that mortar volleys send two to five shells around a Raider, with fire erupting two seconds after impact. These are community-database descriptions and may be affected by game updates.
#1 Best Overall
- ARC Raiders Deluxe Edition includes the base game and the following content: The Wanderer Set, including the following cosmetic items: “Valente” Outfit" “Pathfinder” Backpack,“Blanket Roll” Backpack Attachment.
- Plus: Character Cosmetic, Finger Gun Rapid Fire Emote, Cowboy Scrappy Body Type and Skin, 2 400 Raider Tokens.
- Mortars: Leave marked impact areas immediately. Do not remain on scorched ground after a strike.
- Laser: Break line of sight behind hard cover rather than holding a long, predictable peek.
- Ground slam or EMP: If the Queen closes distance and signals one of these attacks, make space instead of trying to keep firing at close range.
Use cover to manage the Queen’s attacks, but do not treat one firing position as protection from other players. The encounter is noisy and its rewards can attract Raiders. In a February 19, 2026 PC Gamer interview, Virgil Watkins described Queen and Matriarch encounters as intended for “a couple of dedicated squads, maybe, working together while also dealing with other players.” That design intent does not mean squads will cooperate or share loot.
How to damage the Queen
Community guides identify the yellow leg joints as weak points and say the core becomes exposed when the Queen fires its laser. A practical sequence is to focus fire on one leg joint, then switch to the exposed core when the opening appears. AllThingsHow recommends this sequence; it is tactical guidance, not confirmed damage math. Do not rely on a fixed shot count or solo timing: weapon condition, squad size, and game balance can change the result.
Rank #2
- Take cover and watch for the mortar or laser cue.
- Concentrate fire on one leg joint rather than spreading damage across several targets.
- When the core is exposed during the laser attack, use that window to deal damage.
- Return to cover, reposition as needed, and repeat. Clear or manage other ARC enemies that could interrupt the fight.
Choose a squad or solo approach
| Approach | What it offers | Main costs and risks |
|---|---|---|
| Squad from prepared cover | AllThingsHow’s group method uses cover and coordinated fire; teammates can support the joint-to-core damage sequence. | Requires coordination and enough ammunition and weapon durability across the group. Other Raiders can still contest the fight or loot. |
| Solo using terrain and brief exposure windows | AllThingsHow describes a rock-and-strafe method that uses terrain and short firing windows. | Community coverage does not establish reliable solo completion rates. Expect a high resource burden, greater exposure to attacks, and more time under PvP risk. |
Neither method is established as universally better. A solo run is a high-risk option, not a dependable shortcut; choose it only if you are prepared for a longer fight and the possibility of losing the loadout.
Loadouts, ammunition, and supplies
There is no official current weapon ranking in the available sources. Community guides suggest different tools for different roles, so build around armor pressure, damage during the core window, ammunition, durability, and the risk of fighting other Raiders.
Rank #3
| Weapon or item | Suggested role in community guides | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| Hullcracker | AllThingsHow recommends it for joint and core damage; BrokenBuilds also presents it for armor pressure. | Recommendations are guide advice, not a verified current-patch ranking. |
| Anvil or medium-ammo rifle | AllThingsHow suggests these as alternate or supporting weapons. | Use them according to your available ammunition and weapon condition. |
| Jupiter or Bettina | BrokenBuilds includes these in an alternative damage-oriented loadout. | Community-guide claims; no official comparison was found. |
| Shield rechargers, higher-tier bandages, and backup weapons | AllThingsHow recommends bringing healing and a backup weapon. | Adjust supplies to squad size, expected fight length, and PvP risk. |
| Defibrillator | AllThingsHow recommends one for squad play. | A team support option, not a damage requirement. |
| Raider Hatch Key in a safe pocket | AllThingsHow suggests it as an exit contingency. | It is a guide recommendation; decide whether the contingency fits your risk tolerance. |
| Wolfpack grenades | AllThingsHow suggests they may help with other ARC enemies. | The guide cautions they may be unreliable against the exposed Queen core. |
For ammunition planning, AllThingsHow’s 2025 guide estimates roughly 200–250 Hullcracker rounds to down the Queen, or about 70–100 per player in a trio. It also estimates that two to three Anvils may break over a kill. These are planning estimates from a third-party guide, not experimentally established requirements or guarantees for the current patch. Scale supplies to group size, weapon durability, and the possibility of PvP.
What loot does the Queen drop?
Community loot lists include Queen Reactor, Magnetic Accelerator, ARC Motion Core, ARC Circuitry, advanced components, and other ARC materials. The community wiki records 14 items in its Queen drop list; that count does not mean every item drops in one encounter. Drop probabilities and guaranteed rewards are not established in the available sources, so check the current game for recipes and requirements before planning a build around a particular component.

The same community database lists 1,000 XP for destroying the Queen, 1,000 XP for looting it, and 500 XP for scavenging a leg. The page does not state a year for these values; treat them as community-database figures rather than official confirmations.

Decide on an exit before engaging. AllThingsHow recommends prioritizing a Queen Reactor and moving to a pre-scouted exit, but the drop is not guaranteed. Because the fight can attract other players, approach the body and loot as contested territory, not a safe reward cache. Keep enough time and supplies to leave rather than lingering to collect lower-priority materials.
