What changes when Reward Passes replace Raider Decks?
Embark says players accumulated Cred faster than new Raider Decks could be released. As a result, some players could complete new decks immediately, leaving less reason to keep completing Feats. The studio says Reward Passes are intended to provide continuing progression and tie rewards to each update. That is Embark’s explanation for the change, not an independently measured account of player behavior.
The ARC Raiders Team describes the system as “a natural evolution of Raider Decks, with some added benefits.” Under the announced setup, Feats contribute to Reward Pass progression, while rewards are organized into passes associated with an update. Frozen Trail is announced with two passes: its new 60-level Reward Pass and a separate Legacy Pass for Raider Deck rewards.
What happens to rewards from my Raider Decks?
Rewards you already earned remain unlocked, according to Embark. The free Legacy Pass gathers Raider Deck cosmetics and Raider Tokens into a progression track, so players can work toward rewards they did not previously earn. It is separate from the new Frozen Trail pass; it is not a paid Premium tier.

The reward and token figures above are developer specifications announced ahead of launch, not post-launch verification. The Free track includes gameplay items; Premium’s additional rewards are described as cosmetic. Do you have to pay for the Frozen Trail pass?
No payment is required to access the announced Free option or the Legacy Pass. Premium is optional and can be obtained for 1,150 Raider Tokens; Embark says players who complete its track earn that amount back. The sources cited here do not state a standalone cash price for Premium.

Steam lists a Frozen Trail Collector Set as optional digital DLC, not as a requirement to play the update. The listing says it requires the base game and includes Premium Reward Pass access, 2,400 Raider Tokens, the Renzo outfit, Dragon’s Breath Weapon Stencil, Bob hairstyle, a Retro Sofa recipe and a Banjo blueprint, among other items. Embark announced Frozen Trail for October 8, 2026. As of October 3, 2026, the update had not launched, so the pass structure, contents and availability described here reflect prelaunch statements and a prelaunch store listing. Whether the release build matches those descriptions or how progression works in live play cannot yet be established.
