As of October 7, 2026, the available official sources do not confirm a widespread ARC Raiders outage. If you cannot connect or matchmaking is slow, the cause could be a service-side problem or a setting or connection on your side; check for a current official notice, then work through the steps below.
Are ARC Raiders servers down?
A widespread outage was not officially confirmed in the sources reviewed as of October 7, 2026. That does not rule out a developing or localized problem: service availability can change, and individual connection trouble does not by itself prove that the servers are down.
ArcStatus, an unofficial tracker, recorded 44 community outage reports on October 3, 2026, and marked that incident resolved after 35 minutes. Those reports provide historical context, not official confirmation of the cause or evidence of an active outage on October 7. Embark’s official Help Center guidance is about troubleshooting, rather than a live service-status notice: matchmaking issues and PC connection issues.
To judge whether the issue is broader than your own setup, look for a dated service notice from ARC Raiders or Embark and compare reports from other players. The sources here do not provide an official live status indicator, so treat third-party report spikes as signals to check, not as proof that Embark has confirmed an outage.

Why is ARC Raiders matchmaking taking so long?
Embark’s matchmaking guidance, last updated February 27, 2026, identifies crossplay being turned off as a common reason for slow matchmaking. Crossplay supports social play across PlayStation, Xbox, and PC. Embark says, “Turning Crossplay on can help you find games faster.” In a party, the most restrictive member’s crossplay setting applies to the whole group, so check every party member’s setting.
Embark also recommends checking the selected server region and syncing your device clock if you cannot find a match. These are troubleshooting checks, not confirmation that any one setting is causing a wider queue problem.

How to troubleshoot connection and matchmaking problems
- Check for a current service notice. Look for dated communications from ARC Raiders or Embark, and compare whether other players are reporting similar problems. If there is a service-side incident, changing your local settings will not repair it.
- Turn on crossplay if the queue is slow. Check the crossplay setting for each person in your party; the most restrictive party member’s setting governs the group’s matchmaking.
- Set the server to Automatic. On PC, open the gear menu and go to Gameplay > Server. On console, open Social, select the gear icon, then go to Gameplay > Server. Embark recommends Automatic for PC and console.
- Sync your device clock. Embark recommends this if you cannot find a match or can join standard maps but not map conditions. An incorrect clock can also contribute to connection trouble.
- Check your local connection on PC. Embark recommends a stable connection and wired Ethernet over Wi-Fi. It also suggests avoiding VPNs or proxies where possible and checking your local network. A wired connection may help with local instability, but it cannot fix a problem at the game service.
- Contact official support if it continues. Use the ARC Raiders Help Center to find technical support and submit a ticket.
Does the matchmaking change explain server reports?
No connection between the matchmaking intervention and the October 3 community outage reports is established in the cited announcements. In a September 30, 2026 Steam post, ARC Raiders Executive Producer Aleks said action against coordinated queue teaming was followed, after five days, by 85% fewer players engaging in that behavior. Aleks also reported spoiled raids declining from around 1 in 50 to 1 in 300, with no meaningful queue-time impact. Those figures describe the queue-teaming intervention, not server availability or outage severity.
Embark’s September 29 announcement said the Frozen Trail update was due October 8 and that there would be no update the preceding Tuesday while the team prepared. It does not link the planned update to the October 3 reports.
