The “war” in ARC Raiders was an informal streamer- and fan-led feud, not an official game mode or developer event. It pitted TheBurntPeanut’s Bungulators against HutchMF’s FMF, and spilled into public matches as players picked sides, wore faction-associated outfits and fought opponents.
How the ARC Raiders faction war began
According to GamesBeat’s account, the spark was a match in which HutchMF was downed by a player who said “for the Bungulators.” HutchMF shared the clip and responded, “This means war!” That exchange turned a moment of streamer banter into a feud that viewers and other players could join.
The game’s shared-match format made the sides legible to other Raiders. ARC Raiders’ official site describes it as a multiplayer extraction adventure where players face machines as well as other Raiders, with cross-platform social play across PlayStation, Xbox and PC. That setting provided room for faction roleplay and player-versus-player encounters, but the site does not present this conflict as an official event.
Who were the Bungulators and FMF?
TheBurntPeanut led the Bungulators, while HutchMF led FMF. Streamers sided with the groups during the feud; the lists below describe reported alignments, not permanent memberships.

How the feud reached ordinary matches
What began among streamers was not confined to their broadcasts. Reporting by PC Gamer describes players on North American servers fighting people who were not on their side or were not wearing the assigned faction outfits. Some encounters were playful roleplay; others became harassment of players who did not know about the feud. GamesBeat also reports stream sniping and coordinated PvP attacks.

Those accounts describe different kinds of participation, not a claim that every player involved behaved abusively. Nor do they establish that Embark, the game’s developer, organized or endorsed the conflict. The practical effect for an uninvolved player could still be confusing: a faction-coded outfit or an unfamiliar match encounter might carry meaning within the streamer feud that the player had never signed up for.
How the Bungulators’ claimed victory ended it
After roughly three weeks, TheBurntPeanut declared a Bungulators victory during a Discord call with HutchMF. PC Gamer reports that the call offered no clear way to determine a winner and that HutchMF did not accept the declaration as definitive. Both sides appeared ready to stop, but the ending was an informal truce-like close, not a formally adjudicated result.

GamesBeat also describes a finale in which players tried to queue into the same matches, producing disorganized fights across multiple servers. TheBurntPeanut’s line during the Discord call, reproduced by PC Gamer, was: “I declare sweeping victory for the Bungulators on this fine day.” The quote captures the theatrical finish, not a verified competitive outcome.

There is no independently verified count of how many players joined the faction conflict or how many viewers watched it. GamesBeat says the live audience was difficult to pin down and offers a broad estimate across platforms; that should not be treated as a confirmed event total or as a count of participants. The clearest documented picture is qualitative: streamers and fans took sides, faction looks appeared in matches, and some public encounters became faction fights or stream-sniping episodes.
