Complete Water Troubles in one Dam Battlegrounds round: reach the large Flood Access Tunnel pipe in the lower basin east of the Control Tower, follow it to the District’s Water Supply intake, and interact with the pipe at the pool to select “Sample Water.” You do not need to extract after sampling.
Water Troubles objectives
Celeste’s quest has three objectives, all on Dam Battlegrounds:
- Locate the Flood Access Tunnel under the Red Lake Balcony.
- Find the District’s Water Supply intake.
- Sample the water.
Complete all three in the same round. The ARC Raiders Wiki quest listing and MetaForge quest database specify the one-round requirement.
Where to find the Flood Access Tunnel
Look in the lower basin on Dam Battlegrounds, east of the Control Tower. The tunnel is a large open pipe built into the lower dam. Red Lake Balcony is a useful landmark for getting down to the basin; ladders and ziplines offer routes from the balcony area. The quest calls the landmark Red Lake Balcony, while one database refers to the Red Lake Berm. The pipe is east of the Control Tower, slightly to the side of the balcony—not directly beneath it. PC Gamer’s walkthrough describes the pipe location and descent routes.

How to reach the water intake and sample the water
- Descend to the east basin of Dam Battlegrounds. Use the Red Lake Balcony area as a landmark; ladders and ziplines can take you down.
- At basin level, enter the large open pipe in the lower dam.
- Follow the pipe into the open room until you reach the pool and the intake pipe running into the water.
- Interact with that pipe and choose “Sample Water.” The sampling interaction completes the objective.
Do you have to extract?
No. Extraction is not required to trigger completion after you sample the water. You can extract if you want to leave the round, but it is not one of the quest objectives. PC Gamer and All Things How both describe extraction as unnecessary or optional after sampling.

The discrepancy is not explained by the available listings, so check the reward shown in your in-game quest screen if it differs.

Published guides disagree on the unlock chain. The ARC Raiders Wiki says Water Troubles follows both The Root of the Matter and After Rain Comes, while All Things How names Prescriptions of the Past in the chain. Because those accounts conflict, use the current in-game quest log to confirm what you need to complete before Water Troubles becomes available.
