It is not confirmed to be exclusive to Hospital, Night Raid, or one specific Blue Gate room. For the best odds, search medical containers throughout your raids and prioritize known augment-container locations when they are convenient.
That means the most reliable strategy is to farm container type rather than wait for a particular map condition or run only one named location.
Where the blueprint drops
The current blueprint table lists Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) as:

Medical-style containers can contain augments anywhere, so check them as you move through ordinary routes instead of abandoning a raid because it is not on a preferred map or because the map condition is different.

The database also identifies several augment-container locations:
- Blue Gate — Security Wing, downstairs
- Blue Gate — Security Wing, upstairs
- Stella Montis — Lobby
- Stella Montis — Business Center
These locations are useful targets because their augment-style containers can drop augment blueprints, but they are not confirmed guaranteed spawn points for Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor).
Recommended farming approach
- Choose any map you can loot safely. The current listing does not restrict the blueprint to one map.
- Search Medical Containers first. They are the specifically documented source category.
- Check augment-container locations when your route passes nearby. On Blue Gate, inspect both Security Wing levels. On Stella Montis, check the Lobby and Business Center.
- Extract or reset when the route becomes unsafe. The blueprint is Legendary, and the available sources do not provide a guaranteed drop rate.
In practical terms, a short, repeatable route through medical and augment containers is preferable to repeatedly forcing one room. The exact number of raids required will vary, especially because blueprint drop rates have been adjusted over time.
Is Blue Gate Reinforced Reception the best location?
Many guides and players recommend Reinforced Reception on Blue Gate, including its breachable room, as a particularly consistent farming spot. It can be a reasonable community-favored route, but the current item listing does not identify Reinforced Reception as an exclusive or required source.

Treat it as a useful farming location—not as proof that the blueprint can appear only there. If the room is contested, inconvenient, or unavailable, searching Medical Containers elsewhere remains consistent with the current source data.
What not to wait for
- Hospital on Buried City: the blueprint is not currently documented as Hospital-exclusive.
- Night Raid: the current table says any map condition, so Night Raid is not required.
- A specific quest or project: the current blueprint page lists no quest or project that rewards it.
- A single guaranteed room: named locations can be good routes, but no exclusive spawn is currently confirmed.
How to learn the blueprint
Once you obtain it, return to Speranza, select the blueprint, and choose “Learn and Consume.” This consumes the blueprint and unlocks the ability to craft the augment.

Crafting requirements
After learning the blueprint, Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) requires:
- Gear Bench 3
- 2× Advanced Electrical Components
- 3× Processor
Make sure your Gear Bench is upgraded before treating a duplicate blueprint as an immediate crafting unlock; finding the blueprint and meeting the bench requirement are separate steps.

What Looting Mk. 3 (Survivor) does
The finished augment regenerates health while you are downed and stationary, up to 75% of your maximum downed health. It is therefore designed for survival situations where you can stop moving and recover while waiting for help or an opportunity to reach extraction.
The stationary condition matters: crawling does not provide the same benefit as remaining still. The augment can be especially valuable when surviving the downed state is more important than immediate movement, but it does not make you invulnerable or remove the danger of being discovered.
Drop-rate and data caveat
Blueprint drop rates were reduced in a later patch, while the developer reportedly said they remained higher overall than before an earlier increase. The available information does not provide a current numerical drop rate or identify the exact patch number, so no honest guide can promise a specific number of raids.
The dedicated item data was last verified on November 12, 2025, while the broader blueprint entry was edited on July 8, 2026. Because loot tables can change, recheck the in-game result and current database listing if a future update changes container behavior.
