From the lower entrance, climb two flights; the red-locker corridor is the easiest landmark for finding the room.
Where is the Hospital Key door?
The door is inside the Hospital landmark in northern Buried City, south of Market Ruins. It is on an upper floor, in the building’s northwest area. Floor labels differ between guides: some call it the second floor and others the third, depending on whether they count ground level as the first floor. Rather than rely on the floor number, climb two flights from the lower entrance and head for the northwest corner. Arc Raiders AI’s guide and Shacknews’ route guide describe the location.
How do you reach the locked room?
From the lower entrance
- Enter the Hospital and go up two flights of stairs.
- Turn left into the long corridor and continue to the room with red lockers.
- Pass through the locker room. The locked door is immediately to the right after you exit on the far side.
Use the red lockers as your checkpoint: if you reach them, you are on the described corridor route to the door.
From the central elevator shaft
Alternatively, take the zipline in the central elevator shaft to the upper level described by Shacknews as the third floor. From the central lobby, use the northwest doorway and follow the hall. Turn left through the rooms or at the end of the hall; the locked door is in the small room between the lockers and a medical bedroom. Look for a red button by the door.

What does the key unlock, and what is inside?
The key opens one small locked room, and it is consumed when you open the door. It is described as Rare and single-use. The room contains medical containers and loose loot; guides report medical bags and cabinets, drawers, at least one fridge, and a grenade case. The items found in them vary between raids, so do not count on a specific weapon, blueprint, consumable, or coin value.
The key can be lost on death if it is not in your Safe Pocket. If you want to preserve it while carrying it, place it there; opening the door still uses it up.

Should you use the key on this raid?
Decide based on the route and the state of the Hospital, not on an assumed loot payout. The landmark is described as an orange loot zone with substantial ARC and player traffic. Its looping corridors and limited sightlines can make an encounter difficult to avoid.
- Use it now if the Hospital is already on your route and the area seems manageable.
- Save it if using it would mean a major detour or the building is already drawing combat.
- Plan your exit before entering. A Raider Hatch at the Collapsed Supermarket is roughly 50 meters northeast according to Shacknews, but using it requires a Raider Hatch Key.
That hatch distance is a guide’s route estimate, not a guaranteed safe or available extraction. Whether the room is worth opening depends on the loot you find and whether you can leave safely.
