Its listed recipe requires a Wolfpack Blueprint, an Explosives Station at level 3, and a Rocketeer Driver—so whether to craft or keep one can matter as much as its combat role. Published damage and range figures are database listings, not verified guarantees.
What the Wolfpack does
The Wolfpack grenade is described as dispersing after a short delay into 12 homing missiles that target nearby ARC and deal explosive damage on impact. That broad function is consistent across community item references, but exact targeting behavior has not been established by an official specification or controlled test.
Wolfpack stats: listed values, not confirmed performance
| Value | What the listing says | How to interpret it |
|---|---|---|
| Rarity and type | Epic quick-use grenade | Item classification in the ARC Raiders Wiki listing. |
| Missiles | 12 homing missiles | Listed behavior; it does not establish that every missile will hit a target. |
| Damage | 166 per missile | Database-listed damage, not confirmed damage in all hit conditions. Armor, weak points, and other modifiers are not established. |
| Range or radius | 100 m | Listings use range/radius terminology; how the distance is measured is not established. |
The ARC Raiders Wiki lists the damage and range figures, and a separate database also lists 12-part damage notation and a 100 m homing range. Agreement between community databases is corroboration, not official verification. Do not treat 12 multiplied by 166 as guaranteed total damage: the available listings do not show that every missile hits or that damage is applied identically in every situation. Values may also change with patches. See the ARC Raiders Wiki Wolfpack listing and the ARC Raiders Score item entry.
Current listed crafting recipe
The recipe listed by ARC Raiders Score is:
- 1 Explosive Compound
- 2 ARC Motion Cores
- 1 Rocketeer Driver
It also requires the Wolfpack Blueprint and an Explosives Station at level 3. These are listed requirements; check the live game in case a later patch has changed them.

PC Gamer reported on February 24, 2026, that the Shrouded Sky update changed the crafting components. In that report, Embark Studios said: “Rather than diminish the capability of the Wolfpack itself, we opted to adjust the crafting components.” This is the studio statement as quoted by PC Gamer, not a direct quotation independently verified here. Read PC Gamer’s report on the component change.
Should you craft, keep, recycle, or salvage it?
There is no evidence here establishing that crafting or breaking down a Wolfpack is always the better choice. Decide based on the encounter you expect and the material you actually need.

- Craft it if you have the blueprint and level 3 station, can spare the Rocketeer Driver and other listed ingredients, and want the grenade for a future ARC fight.
- Keep it if retaining a homing option for a difficult ARC encounter is more valuable to you than recovering materials now.
- Recycle it if the listed return of 1 ARC Motion Core and 1 Explosive Compound best fits your current crafting needs.
- Salvage it if 2 Explosive Compounds are more useful than the recycling return. The item database lists salvage and recycle as different outcomes.
Those recycle and salvage returns are listed by ARC Raiders Score and should be checked against the live item interface if your game version differs.
Independent reader supportYour contribution helps us test, update, and keep practical guides available for everyone.Smart use: what the evidence supports
The supported use case is straightforward: the grenade disperses into homing missiles that seek nearby ARC. The available sources do not establish target-priority rules, precise range behavior, reliable outcomes against particular large ARC, or behavior against non-ARC entities. Treat it as a situational tool rather than a guaranteed kill, and use the live game’s results—not the listed damage multiplied by missile count—to judge its value for a specific encounter.

A player post dated June 28, 2026, asks whether Wolfpacks only work on ARC. That anecdote shows the targeting question comes up, but it does not establish a general rule for every entity or situation. The confirmed description says nearby ARC; edge cases remain unverified.
